The Truth About Sheri Sharman

Sheri Sharman loves helping people, training, coaching and building a team environment. It is these qualities that have enabled Sheri to have huge success regardless of whose product she is marketing. But, as in any industry, some of the companies she worked with were very fair and reputable and others were not. Sheri has always had very high standards and morals and would therefore move to a different company in the network marketing industry if she felt that her current company was being unethical. Not many people are willing to uproot their lives to stay true to their standards, morals and beliefs. 1987 - 1992 NSA, Memphis, TN. Earned first six figure yearly income and reached millionaire status within 3 years. Discovered a passion for training and motivating sales teams.

1992 - 1997 Equinox, Las Vegas, NV. Top income earner and a seven figure income earner. Lead trainer, traveled and trained over a hundred thousand people. (Sheri was NOT a co-founder of this company. Equinox was "shut down" by the FTC 2-1/2 years AFTER Sheri left and gave up her seven figure income.)

1997 - 2000 New Vision, Tempe, AZ. Reached the Presidential level faster than anyone in New Vision's history. Reached one of her lifetime goals of going to the Holy Land in Jerusalem. She was baptized in the River Jordon with her Mom and lifelong friend to this day, BK Boreyko, the owner of New Vision International.

2000 - 2004 PPL/FCC, Oklahoma. Voted "Rookie Of The Year". Earned her $100K pin her first year. Developed a sales team of over 60,000 people in just 2 years. Became known as the "Dream Angel".

2004 - 2008 ViaViente, Plano, TX. Broke all records by reaching ViaViente's highest level in the company in her first 6 months. Teaches a proven success system and trains her sales organization on how to leverage time and get results. 2007 Update:

7/2009 - Present With business partner and co-owner of MVPWW (Most Valuable People World Wide) Buck Reed joined alliance with Utah based company MonaVie. In first 30 days reach level of Blue Diamond, setting a record in the company for achieving this level in record time.

When I started my career in network marketing I had no business experience, no training and a terrible fear of public speaking.

The first time in my new career that I had to speak in public I was so nervous I wrapped my arms around a pillar back stage and refused to move. Someone had to pry my arms apart and literally push me on to the stage. The audience was only a small group of people but they terrified me.

I was to give a speech with the theme "if I can make it in this business...so can you". With sweating palms and a palpitating heart I talked about how I went from making $11,000 a year as a preschool teacher to making $250,000 my first year in network marketing.

I eventually overcame my fear of public speaking, which had been my very worst fear, and turned it into my career. Amazingly, I can now speak comfortably in front of thousands of people. My goal is always to inspire at least one person to create a better life for themselves. If I can do that, then it is definitely worth getting up on stage.

I mentioned that I made $250,000 my first year in network marketing. But don't get me wrong, I worked hard, very hard. My first two years I sometimes worked 18 hour days, 7 days a week. I developed a very simple way to build rapport and a system for helping others. I kept refining my system until I could teach it to others and they could duplicate it.

I've come a long way and I learned that by staying very focused on helping my team mates get what they wanted, I was able to get what I wanted.

One of the things I wanted was my "dream home". I left my dream home in 1997 when I chose to walk away from a 7 figure a year income because of integrity issues with the company I represented.

I had to start all over again. After finding a company with integrity and a great product, I was able to build my income back up and I'm now the top female income earner in my company.

I feel blessed to live in a beautiful 5000 square foot Mediterranean-style home that sits on a hill with lush landscaping and a view of the ocean. I have the pleasure of having my mom, Imo Sharman, work with me. She is 74 years young, making a 6 figure yearly income and truly enjoying her golden years!

I've been able to travel all over the world and share wonderful trips with my son, my mother and friends. I took my son to see the statue of liberty instead of him just reading about it in school. I was able to celebrate his 16th birthday with him while on a surfing safari in Bali.

These trips and my lifestyle are all possible because of the time freedom and financial freedom I have gained through network marketing.

Always remember, as I do, that if you can build your business once...you can do it again!

It's about time Sheri Sharman came out with a book. I always knew she would. She has so much to tell and so much to give. I am sure there will be several more books to follow this debut. It is not in the least bit surprising that Sheri's first book would be an exercise in sharing the spotlight with scores of people she has influenced. Sheri and the spotlight are a natural fit, but she much more enjoys placing it on others. I always marveled at how she can make people glow, how she can empower people with her mere presence. She shines a spotlight on you no matter where you are. Electricity is not necessary. She generates her own. That's why I have always called her Sunshine.

I met Sheri in March of 1991 at a seminar in Los Angeles. It was my first trip to California. I was a New Yorker through and through and California was a foreign world to me. I certainly had never met anyone like Sheri. I didn't know anyone could be so blonde, so bubbly and so beautiful. More than that, you could feel her presence, her energy, even when you didn't see her. Over the next year she opened my eyes to the power of positive thinking and brought out mental and spiritual powers that I had no idea existed within me. I became a devoted student long before there was any formalized thing like OneBigTeam (OBT). Sheri has always treated the world like one big team, even though most of the world often seems to have no interest in playing. She still believes that every human on earth will be a part of OBT one day. I don't dare tell her otherwise.

Sheri Sharman co-founded One Big Team in 2000. The original purpose was to train and support her large sales organizations. It was a formalization of what she had been doing all along. By then she was a self-made millionaires through Network Marketing channels. But she faced repeated frustration in linking with specific product manufacturers and relying on the corporate marketing divisions of those companies to drive growth in the field. She decided to build a stand-alone sales and marketing team that could represent various and/or multiple manufacturers and capitalize on new opportunities swiftly. By building a strong, well-trained team, loyal to and confident in itself, they could avoid the potentially damaging effects of defunct manufacturers, unfavorable compensation plan modifications, or political power struggles inherent in the industry.

It's the bottom line truth. Not every company deserves the efforts of OBT. A manufacturer may decide to cheapen the ingredients on their product to create more profit. An egomaniac may take the reins of a Network Marketing company and drive it into the ground. It happens. So OBT packs its bags and finds a new opportunity, like a baseball free agent. It's the beauty of capitalism. Many people who are part of OBT have sold several different products for several different companies. Then the sales of the exiled company plummet, and that company spends their time writing nasty snippets about Sheri and others and putting them on search engines so readers like you will decide to not go back to the office for Saturday training. And that would be your loss. And I want you to know that I refused to let Sheri use my story if she edits this out. "You're so New York, so harsh", she'll say. "Why bring up negative stuff?", she'll argue. Well it's my nature to tell it like it is. I told you she loves everybody anyway. She'll never say a bad word. So I decided that's my job. I was pretty tame wasn't I?

I was lucky enough to grow closer to Sheri than most people. It wasn't long before I found myself anticipating what she would think and say and do, and we became a very efficient team. Many of the stories in this book will tell you how effective people have become by duplicating the things taught by Sheri. It may seem redundant to you. But it is not coincidence that so many people give her so much credit. She figured out how to unlock doors within people. I call it buried treasure. We're not talking about just business techniques. When you hear someone say, "Follow someone who has what you want" it isn't only about cars and clothes and things. It's about countless intangibles. Most of us have a sphere of awareness that is only as vast as the sum of our experiences. We don't know what we don't know. Trust me, the faster you get what that means, the faster your life will move in the direction you want.

I have seen THOUSANDS of people morph into something better, something more than they were before meeting Sheri Sharman. And some of them never got into the selling business. Not everyone is going to get rich in Network Marketing. But anyone who applies themselves to OBT training will lead a richer life. My buddy Gus from New York saw Sheri at several seminars in 1991 and 1992 and, though he never attempted to sell a product with us, he STILL asks me if there are any new motivational materials available. Last year he sold his service station business for a lot of money. He gives a lot of credit to the personal development he experienced so many years ago.

There are many of us out there. We have taken what we learned as part of what is now called One Big Team and have spread across multiple industries. I ran into an old associate in a Costco store just last Saturday. He spent several years working with us and has taken his skills at recruiting and built a successful corporate staffing company. I hadn't seen him for years and he couldn't bring up Sheri's name without smiling. After filling him in on what's going on with OBT he was beaming. "Give Sheri a big hug for me", he said. "I think of her every day." He told me about another former associate who has applied his marketing training into building an importing company. Another has made a fortune in the mortgage business. These people may not go to OBT trainings as often as they once did, but I assure you that OBT alumni are applying their skills and training across the country.

As for me, I am running a growing web-based business software company and One Big Team is one of my clients! Before I met Sheri, as recently as 1990, I was wasting all my skills and talents away, working in gas stations, cursing the world because it was all so hard, frustrated that no one would give me a break, realizing that the four years I had just spent in college guaranteed me nothing. My high school friend, Bryan Moore, dragged me kicking and screaming to an overview on Long Island at the tail end of 1990. I was interested not in the business per se, but in the spark in Bryan's eye that I had never seen before. Guess whom he had been to see. But I did nothing until they got me in front of Sheri a few months later. It was then that I lit up. I borrowed and invested $10,000 in my business before I made my first dime. But I liked waking up in the morning for once. I met a lot of rejection from my friends and family, but I stopped drinking so much. My mother told Bryan that, "for the first time in years, I like my soon". Today Bryan is the Vice-President of Partner Support for Earnware Corporation and runs a good portion of the company. And my Mom still likes me. My Dad passed in 1996. He was proud of me. He wasn't before. How do you measure that?

There is no one liner, there is no simple script, that will convey the life-altering power an affiliation with OBT will give you. To me the purpose of this book is simple. This is the beginning of your story, of your testimonial to what can be achieved with a little prodding and the right influence. This is the beginning of your introduction to yourself, to whom you could or should be, and that is scary. This book documents that there have been many before you who faced the same decisions that you now face, and every one of them will tell you that the worst thing in their life is the thought of what might have become of them had they chosen not to become a part of OBT. Your reasons, your motivators, your "why", will surface soon enough.
