The Vent Site - Politically Incorrect? Or Not!

Please read this, if nothing more. This letter from a member of the US Congress speaks for itself in where America is with the so-called "Oil Crisis."

Dear Mrs. Adamski:

Thank you for expressing your opinion regarding increased drilling for oil. I appreciate you taking the time to share your views with me.

As you may know, expanded drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) and the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) is currently prohibited by both law and an executive order dating back to President George H.W. Bush. Although additional drilling is currently banned, it is estimated that 81% of oil and natural gas resources on federal lands is already available for development. Oil companies, however, are not producing on the nearly 68 million acres of federal land already under their control. Offshore, big oil is producing on only about 20 percent of the acres they hold, while onshore, companies are producing on less than 30 percent of the acres they hold. These unused areas could produce an additional 4.8 million barrels of oil and 44.7 billion cubic feet of natural gas each day, nearly double the current domestic oil production. Although this bill did not pass on a recent vote, I will press for its consideration again.

Instead of giving the oil and natural gas companies more land to drill on, I have cosponsored a bill which would require these companies to utilize the land already under their control. The Responsible Federal Oil and Gas Lease Act of 2008, H.R. 6251, employs a "use it or lose it" tactic that will require oil and natural gas companies to either produce oil from their holdings or give up the federal onshore and offshore leases they are stockpiling. The bill bars oil companies from obtaining any additional leases unless they can demonstrate that they are producing oil and natural gas, or are diligently developing the leases they already hold.

Increased oil production, however, is only one part of the solution to our energy needs. Congress is holding hearings about the impact of commodities market speculation on oil prices, reducing barriers to the importation of Canadian oil, and investing in alternative energy sources, including cellulosic ethanol.

Finally, we need to reduce any barriers to importing Canadian oil. I offered an amendment to H.R. 6052, the Saving Energy Through Public Transportation Act, that would reduce those barriers. My amendment passed 421-0, and the bill was approved 221-199. I remain confident that if we work together, America will solve the energy crisis.

Are you people getting this now? We have plenty of oil and land to drill on now. We do NOT need to drill offshore or in Alaska and endanger to extinction ourselves and our wildlife. I urge you to write your congressman and tell them "NO more drilling in new areas until we (they) have exhausted their current available sources."

Who cares if you're a Democrat or a Republican? Who cares if you're male or female, black or white? None of this matters if you got the people of this GREAT country's best interest at heart.

What does matter is that congress was bought out and let a total idiot become president. He LET a terrorist attack us in our own country, just so he could attack another country for, what? FREAKIN' OIL. As if you don't have enough (oil profits) already. No, I see your lips moving! Just like his daddy isn't he? Daddy Bush tried to get the oil in Iraq 17 years ago and failed and now the biggest LOSER has failed, too. I guess there is some truth to "Like father, like son."

Talk about lies. Who's a bigger liar? Clinton with his sexual indiscretions or the MORON about WMDs? He's lied about something every day he's been in office. Just read the paper, see the video playbacks and let's not forget 9-11. We all know W. was involved in it. He even lied about how he found out about it to try and cover up his knowledge and it was caught on film. He already knew about it because he helped plan it. He's lied so much, he can't keep the lies straight.

What about the cover-ups on the explosions heard at the WTC before it came down. Do you really believe that if there weren't bombs in the buildings, that they would have come straight down? Come on, an airplane crashing into a 110 story building isn't going to cause it to completely disintegrate into it's own basement.

Mission Accomplished, yea, he even goofed this one up. His accomplishment was that he found Osama and now has him hiding out safely in the basement of the White House. And speaking of Osama, aren't we suppose to be looking for him? Come on people, it's been seven years. Don't you think we would have found him by now if we were really looking? Look how quickly we found Hussein.

Why have we not impeached this man yet? Treason, lies, you name it we got reasons. Yea, I heard the Democrats are behind this last stoppage. What did he give them a little something in exchange...like more lies! We impeached Clinton for sexual misconduct and congress and the rest of the morons in DC won't stop Bush? I just don't get it.

How many of you have I made mad so far? A good many I hope, because we aren't being thrown under the bus. We're being pushed in front of semi and it's coming right for us. Maybe you just think I'm stupid, crazy even. But, I'm not the one living in a false reality. I see the BIG picture. I'm don't have my head stuck in the sand or up my butt where I can chose to see just what I want to see. Look at the facts PEOPLE. The facts are there for you to see, just open your eyes. Take a look at the little US National Debt ticker below. See how fast our money in being wasted. Do you know how many $4.00 + gallons of gas that would buy? How that money would feed and cloth OUR homeless and hungry? Insure the uninsured, provide a living wage for those that are barely making ends meet. And a lot is because of the mass profits the big corporations are making. And who do they have to thank? George W. Bush. May he be go down in history as the worst US President in the history of America. God Bless America.

I hope I've made people mad. It's about time we take our country back. Not even going to go into the illegal alien issue. That's for another post. Wake up! Let this movement get started and take back what was once a great place to live, let's take care of our own, before we give it all away. Hey, don't get me wrong, I am not against charity, but "Charity begins at home." Let's fix us before we fix the rest of the world.

And before all of you that have sons, daughters, husbands, wives and other loved ones in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting for (oil) my right to write this don't get your feathers ruffled at me. I didn't start the war and I never condoned it either. I still have the right to express my beliefs. And yes, I pray for them and I pray that they all come home safely.

So, please express your anger by voting for NONE OF THE ABOVE. What good will it do? Frankly, I don't know, maybe nothing. But who knows, if enough people do it and start a new movement, maybe, just maybe we can take our country back. Bring back 'of the people', 'for the people' and 'by the people'. Instead of it being 'of the rich corporations', 'for the rich people', 'by the oil people'.

Vote? Why? We all know now that our votes don't matter. What about Al Gore? He was the people's choice and what happened? It's all about the money and he who has the most toys wins.

I urge you all, let's take back America, United for which she stands and VOTE FOR NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Rumble, rumble...the movement has started!

I don't know if any of you have seen this or if it's been floating around the internet. Someone sent it to me today and well, I just have to post it here! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

A new element in the Periodic Table of Elements called Governmentium (Gv)

Evolution has produced an element that has become clearly identifiable in the past decade or two.

Recent hurricanes and gasoline issues are proof of the existence of a new chemical element. Research has led to the discovery of the heaviest Element yet known to science.

The new element, Governmentium (Gv), has one neutron, 25 assistant neutrons, 88 deputy neutrons, and 198 assistant deputy neutrons, giving it an atomic mass of 312.

These 312 particles are held together by forces called morons, which are surrounded by vast quantities of lepton-like particles called peons. Since Governmentium has no electrons, it is inert; however, it can be detected, because it impedes every reaction with which it comes into contact. A minute amount of Governmentium can cause a reaction that would normally take less than a second to take from four days to four years to complete.

Governmentium has a normal half-life of 2-6 years; it does not decay, but, instead, undergoes a reorganization in which a portion of the assistant neutrons and deputy neutrons exchange places. In fact, Governmentium's mass will actually increase over time, since each reorganization will cause more morons to become neutrons, forming isodopes. This characteristic of moron promotion leads some scientists to believe that Governmentium is formed whenever morons reach a critical concentration. This hypothetical quantity is referred to as critical morass.

When catalyzed with money, Governmentium becomes Administratium, an element that radiates just as much energy as Governmentium since it has half as many peons but twice as many morons.

This is great. Today from Nancy Pelosi... By LAURIE KELLMAN, Associated Press Writer

President Bush has been a "total failure" in everything from the economy to the war to energy policy, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday. In an interview on CNN, the California Democrat was asked to respond to video of the president criticizing the Democratic-led Congress for heading into the final 26 days of the legislative session without having passed a single government spending bill.

Pelosi shot back in unusually personal terms.

"You know, God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States, a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject," Pelosi replied. She then tsk-tsked Bush for "challenging Congress when we are trying to sweep up after his mess over and over and over again."

I couldn't have said it better myself. 2 thumbs up for Pelosi!

You know what peeves me today? All you morons out there crying about oil or lack of oil. There is no oil shortage in America. There is no need to drill off the Florida coast or in Alaska. We already have enough oil to last us and our great-great-great-great grandchildren the rest of our lives.


I read the letters to the Editor in the newspaper, why? Mostly to get a laugh out of how really stupid and gullible people really are. Today, there was a dude bashing the country because he's afraid of not having enough gas to drive his SUV. I guess he's got stock in oil and can afford the $4.00 + per gallon.

People like him and some of you that believe what you read and hear from the news media, the W. and the likes, should get what's coming to you for not thinking for yourselves. To believe that crap, is crap. Learn how to read between the lines. The real truth is out there if you really look for it.

The only reason W. now wants to drill for more is, HELLO, are you listening? W. and Cheney are BIG OIL stock holders. Did you forget about that, what about Halliburton? All his begging and crying to the Saudis to produce more oil is outrageous. They are sitting over laughing their butts off at him. The war for oil in Iraq? W. and Daddy both failed at securing that oil for the US. And what do they have to show for it? Death to thousands of innocent people. Outright murderers who need to be brought to justice.

A Powerful Poem
It was late one Tuesday evening,
Before a mother could sit down,
To tell her only child about
The terror that hit downtown.

She looked into the eyes of her son
God, she loved him so,
She felt her heart begin to break
And the hurt begin to show.

She gathered all her strength and courage,
as her story she began to tell.
"Baby don't cry, but I'm afraid daddy
Might be under a building that fell."

The boy looked back at his mother,
His eyes made not one blink.
And the mother's tears began to fall.
What would her baby think?

You see, his dad is a firefighter,
And his hero from the day of his birth.
He loved his dad more than anything else
That could ever inherit this earth.

The mother's head began to drop,
Her forehead resting on palm.
She thought her son would be upset.
Instead, he was very calm.

The boy leaned over towards his mom,
And put his hand upon her head.
in her ear he began to whisper,

I knew daddy wasn't coming home.
I talked to him just a while ago,

He told me that he loved me,

"God is building an army,

He was in God's great army now.

Becoming Illegal (Actual letter from an Iowa resident and sent to his
senator)

Dear Senator Harkin,

As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue
Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the
Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for
becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.

My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S.
Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by
the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's
provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United
States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is to pay a
$2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a
good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started
before everyone figures it out.

Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay
taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of
taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply
to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me
and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004 and 2005.

Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local
emergency room as my primary health care provider. Once I have stopped
paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save
almost $10,000 a year.

Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter
would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school
applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges
throughout the United States for my son.

Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden
of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance
premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age
children driving my car.

If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become
illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I
would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.
