When life hands me lemons, I toss them in a glass of iced tea
Everyone needs a little pick-me-up every now and then. I tend to need them pretty often. My method of making myself feel better is looking over my lists of what make me happy. I may not have a fabulous life and I may deal with crap that I don't feel like I should have to, but I also have a life filled with tons of wonderful little things that keep me going and keep me smiling. Like a nice tall glass of sweet iced tea. With lemons.

Why this list is so important
and why it's not
That's the catch. While I know I can make at least fifty of these lists, the point is not to spend forever making one. It's the simple things that make life easier to deal with, no matter what is going on. It isn't a list of what matters most to me or what should matter most. It is a list of reminders. These tiny moments in time put a smile on my face or give me something to laugh about. I can find pleasure in a million situations if I just glance at one of my lists and ask myself what I feel like focusing on for the moment. As a matter of fact, I wrote this list when I was feeling bad about something and by the time I was done, I couldn't remember what had put me in such a grouchy mood. That's kind of the point...
