Need Some Ideas For A Long Boring Road Trip?
Never fear, we're hear to help the miles roll by. Sure, everyone knows the usual stuff. Sing songs (please NO, not "Down By The Bay" agaaaain). Play I-see-something(insert-color-here) game. But, we're going to do better than the usual stand buys here.
I guess playing tag is fun in a moving car, but it's already been done (see video below). Let's try a few more original items.
Electronic gadgets are absolutely essential on a long road trip. Even if you don't have kids with you. You can watch movies, play games, listen to music, and even surf the web, if you have mobile access.
I know this may sound archaic, but you could bring along a few books to read. You could even try using one of those Kindle things from Amazon for reading in electronic form.
Hey, how about bring a video camera along, and make a video doing goofy things on your trip. Kinda like the two jokers in the video below.
There also license plate bingo. Yee haw, I got bingo Ma!
Audio books for the car can be kinda cool. Make sure, it's a good story everyone will like. Could be tricky with different age groups on board.
There's also the old duct tape on the tires trip I read about. Put everyone's name on a piece, and stick them to the outside of the tire. Every time you stop, the name closest to the road wins a prize. Make up the prizes as you go along. Kids will love this one.
See who can get the most people to wave at them as you pass other cars.
Me personally, I like the game of tag. Oh, just watch the video, you'll know what I mean.

Road Trip Things To Do - Instructional Video
Only 3 things to do? I think they forgot one.
The 4th best thing to do on a road trip, is of course to make a video of yourselves finding something to do a road trip. Josh & Ross put a hilarious spin on the 3 best things to do on a road trip. Which everyone knows is 1. Learn a language, 2.Play a game, and 3. Sing a song. Pretty funny stuff.

Really Lame Things To Do On A Road Trip
Well, maybe not to lame . . . but at least you can plan ahead.
Planning a road trip may seem a little like an oxymoron, since I always thought of road trips as being pretty spontaneous. But, hey that's me. I suppose at least having some since of where your going can help. Leave the crazy spontaneous stuff for when your actually on the road I guess.Really Lame Things To Do On A Road Trip
