"Painter of Light, Seller of Platinum" -- eBay PowerSeller Karen de la Carriere
2007 Squidoo Lens of the Year Winner
As Kinkade's legion of fans grows larger (more than 10 million people own a work by TK in the United States!), many of them are looking to eBay to add new works and locate the rare "sold out" editions from prior years. For the past six years on eBay, Karen de la Carriere, eBay user ID "karendelac" caters to the needs of Kinkade enthusiasts like no other seller on the world's largest auction site.
NEWSFLASH: Congratulations to karendelac for snagging the 2007 "Lens of the Year" Award as determined by the lensmasters and readers of Squidoo.com:
http://best.lens.ever.com/
In an eBay Art Seller Newsflash article, de la Carriere describes her enthusiasm for Kinkade's works: "Collecting Kinkade is addictive and as my own passion for the artist grew, I started to buy entire collections, even when they contained works I already owned."
"People know they can find many of the best and rarest Kinkades through me," she says. "In fact, 30% of my business is with Kinkade galleries. When customers approach galleries looking for well-known Kinkades from the past, the gallery owners know there's one place to find them."
From the Art Newsflash article: "De la Carriere credits her success to careful attention to customer service and a single-minded focus on reducing response times when customers make an inquiry or purchase. She has a toll-free number that she answers personally and prides herself on trying to respond within 30 minutes to each and every email-even though that often amounts to 200 per day. She's even gone the extra mile to ensure that every customer gets a FedEx tracking number for their purchase within minutes of completing the transaction.
"There is so much room for miscommunication and misunderstanding online," she says. "When you can reassure customers with instant feedback, things go a lot more smoothly."
Below you will see many of karendelac's eBay listings. You will notice when you click on a picture that the eBay listing features a substantial number of high-quality photos and compelling description laden with detail to make the buying experience as effortless as possible.
Personally, my family has three Kinkade works in our homes--all from Karen de la Carriere. Each is wonderful in its own way. Take a few moments and check out some of the Thomas Kinkade art below from eBay PowerSeller "karendelac".
Enjoy.

Thomas Kinkade Bio
From Wikipedia
Thomas Kinkade (born January 19, 1958 in Sacramento, California) is an American painter of realistic, bucolic, and idyllic subjects. He is notable for the mass marketing of his work as printed reproductions and other licensed products via The Thomas Kinkade Company. He is self described as "Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light" (a trademarked phrase), and as "America's most-collected living artist".
Media Arts, the publicly-traded company that licenses and sells Kinkade's products, claims that 1 in 20 homes in the U.S. feature some form of Thomas Kinkade's art. He has received criticism for the extent to which he has commercialized his art?for example, selling his prints on the QVC home shopping network. Others have written that his paintings are merely kitsch, without substance,
and described it as chocolate box art.
Daytona 500 Celebrates 50 Years
From Wikipedia
The Daytona 500 is a -long NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race held annually at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is one of four restrictor plate races on the Cup schedule. Matt Kenseth is the defending champion of the race.
The Daytona 500 is regarded by many as the most important and prestigious race on the NASCAR calendar, carrying by far the largest purse. "Culture, Class, Distinction"Bennett, Tony. Culture, Class, Distinction. Routledge (2009) Disaggregating cultural capital. English translation ISBN 0415422426 (hardcover). Championship points awarded are equal to that of any other Sprint Cup race. It is also the series' first race of the year; this phenomenon is virtually unique in sports, which tend to have championships or other major events at the end of the season rather than the start. Since 1995, U.S. television ratings for the Daytona 500 have been the highest for any auto race of the year, surpassing the traditional leader, the Indianapolis 500 which in turn greatly surpasses the Daytona 500 in in-track attendance and international viewing. The 2006 Daytona 500 attracted the sixth largest average live global TV audience of any sporting event that year with 20 million viewers.
The event serves as the final event of Speedweeks and is sometimes referred to as "The Great American Race" or the "Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing." It is held the second or third Sunday in February, and since 1971, has been loosely associated with Presidents Day weekend.
The winner of the Daytona 500 is presented with the Harley J. Earl Trophy in Victory Lane, and the winning car is displayed, in race-winning condition, for one year at Daytona 500 Experience, a museum and gallery adjacent to Daytona International Speedway.
