Three Women - SARK - Donna Eden - Catherine Ponder - A Healing Journey of Mind, Body, & Spirit. Three women who have changed my life by teaching me how to think in new ways, take actions that make me feel more confident, to heal the past, and instill hope for today. They can show you how to heal your life as well.
I wanted simple straight forward answers and I wanted them to transform my life. I wanted to know why I didn't feel like getting out of bed, why I kept picking partners who were not emotionally available, why I had attacks of unworthiness. I wondered why I couldn't let go of past hurts, why I would give up on goals and dreams that I was passionate about, right when it appeared I was so close to achieving them.
I was a student ready for a teacher who could make sense of my life and could heal the years of pain that had started to paralyze me.
What I found was release from the past, hope for the future, and passion for today. I found what is important to me and how to learn to manifest it in my life. I received moments of peace, followed by hours of peace of mind, and slowly this peace of mind became a consistent companion.
Those first moments of silence were terrifying! I had never experienced peace of mind before, so, at first the experience caused a state of panic.
I discovered that thoughts, emotions, and actions were interdependent, like gears working in the back of my mind, they guided me into every decision and every situation. I discovered that I had the capability to change my thoughts, balance my emotions, and take control of my choices and my actions.
I discovered my authentic self. That is how I am living my dreams today. I would like to share with you the three women I consider to be the most instrumental teachers in my transformation.

I first discovered Planet SARK through a forum of other fans on April 8, 2005. It was actually over a year before I actually read one of her books. I was learning about her, and her charismatic work, through the eyes of other people who had grown to love her.
The first book I read was 'Transformation Soup: Healing for the Splendidly Imperfect'. From page one I realized why so many lovely souls had found and honored her work. She taught me to dream, to believe in myself, to allow myself to dance, and to honor my journey. She taught me that it is ok to take naps, dance in the rain, explore my soul, and make my creative dreams a reality.

Energy WorkWhen I think about the term 'Energy Work', several concepts come to mind. One of them is the healing energy that results from practices such as reiki for example. I also think about the practice of Tai Chi. Many of my initial thoughts are about the energy that rests primarily on the internal plain. The energy of breathing, oxygenation and circulatory functions of the body, and how that opens up an ethereal energy within us, is a beginning point for any energy work journey. It is a balancing work.
These examples are vast and have intricate specialties that are practiced purposefully. Many, (if not all), of the concepts are ancient wisdom passed down for many centuries.
I use Tai Chi to balance the internal energy. I use Light and Color (through art and photography) to send out energy. I also use Energy Medicine Healing techniques by Donna Eden.

Balancing WorkAnother perception that comes to mind is the external energy that is manifested by us. We may not realize how much energy we have to send out into the external plain, even when we do not feel energetic, we are still sending out energy all around us. We can focus that energy or allow it to freely wander about. In most of my experience, I have noticed a bit of both.
I have also experienced the external energy that can be absorbed and harbored. This kind of external energy has caused off balanced chemistry. It is the kind of energy experience that needed some delicate, healing attention.
Once we discover what is embedded within us, we learn to forgive. I remember spending much of my time trying to fight my feelings when they were angry or bitter. I would push them down, hide them with 'cheerful' expressions, and 'say something nice'. I had been taught that if you can not say something nice, do not say anything at all. I wasn't feeling nice, and didn't have anything authentically nice to say about anything. I was in pain, and couldn't forgive anything that had happened in my past.
Learning to understand, release, and forgive created room in my life for joy and gratitude.By working toward understanding, I began to release and forgive everything. That allowed what was truly 'me' to emerge.
It turns out that I do have nice things to say. I am full of joy and gratitude, but, it was covered up by the very things that I thought were helping me. I needed to uncover, discover, and recover from chronic emotional pain.
Every 'thing', I discovered, was an essence of external energy that had manifested itself within me, due to my own interpretation of the 'shoulds' I allowed to guide me.
Ultimately my mistaken beliefs were at the root of all my pain and years of unhappiness.

Words are another vehicle for energy work. Spoken or written words can carry energy balancing magic with them. One of the ways that I focus external energy work is by creating artwork, photography, and other visual creations. This kind of energy uses light, color, hues, and contrast to communicate. The viewer can connect with different parts of the energy in the work and for some each time the work is viewed more of the energy is perceived.
The creator can use the work to 'concentrate the mind on the present moment'. This practice can be applied to creating art, cooking an omelet, baking cookies, or planting flower seeds. Whatever action is taken becomes an instrument of connection to energy.
