Reasons to love Three's Company

Three's Company was a sitcom that aired on ABC from 1977-1984. It was based on a British sitcom called Man About the House and starred John Ritter, Joyce DeWitt, Suzanne Somers, Norman Fell, Audra Lindley and Richard Kline.

The premise of the story is as follows:

Jack Tripper(Ritter) , after crashing a friends wedding and passing out in her bathtub, meets Janet Wood (DeWitt) a florist and Chrissey Snow (Somers) a secretary, roommates of Eleanor, the woman whose wedding her crashed. Turns out, Janet and Chrissey now need a new roommate, and Jack is looking for somewhere to live other than the YMCA.

The three decide to live together but have to figure out a way this can
happen since their landlord Stanley Roper(Fell) doesn't want guys and
girls living together, even in a large multi-bedroom apartment. So
Janet, Jack and Chrissy tell Mr Roper that Jack is gay. Mrs.
Roper(Lindley) who catches on to the "little white lie" stays silent,
never telling her husband the truth about Jack, because she likes the
roommates so much.

This group of characters and actors stays with Three's Company until
1979 when Audra Lindley and Norman Fell leave the show for The Ropers,
spinoff.

The new landlord for the rest of the show's run was Ralph Furley, played
wonderfully by Don Knotts. Jack kept up his charade with this new
landlord because Mr. Furley insisted that his brother who owned the
building would not put up with any nonsense.

Down the line, disputes with some of the actors resulted in a few new
parts. With the impending departure of Suzanne Somers, Jenilee Harrison
was brought on in 1980 for two years as Cindy Snow, Chrissy's cousin.
Not real popular, Jenilee was replaced by Priscilla Barnes, who played
roommate Terri, a much smarter character, Terri being a nurse.

Richard Kline who played Jack's friend Larry, the sleazy used car
salesman played his role for the entire run of the show.
