Chosing a Tiara for Your Wedding or Prom
There have been Tiaras since ancient times as the word was used to denote a royal crown or coronet of sorts in ancient Persia. In modern times, however, a tiara is generally a semi-circular band, often metal-made and decorated with jewels, which is worn as a form of adornment and not as a symbol of rank.
In western countries, a bride often wears a tiara as part of her wedding outfit. Queen Elizabeth II is said to have the largest and most valuable collection of tiaras in the world and is often seen wearing them on formal and state occasions. Her personal collection of tiaras is thought to be priceless, and she received many of them through inheritance and gifts from foreign countries. For example, she was given a diamond and aquamarine tiara as a present from the people of Brazil.

- Well, I'm too far past prom and nowhere close to being married, so I don't really NEED a tiara for those. However, I do WANT one just because, and some of these are pretty nice!
