The way to tighten your stomach muscles by summer is a two-fold process that works together, hand-in-hand. One does not work well without the other. You will not be able to achieve your desired results to lose belly fat, slim down and lose Inches unless you incorporate both processes together:

2. Exercise.

You can not continue to drink sodas, or eat fast food and processed foods that are made up of white flour, loaded with sugar, and full of preservatives. It just won't happen.

America's Problem with Processed Food & Sugar Addictions 

Many Americans today, have become accustomed to eating over-processed foods that are full of fat, sugar and calories, while depriving themselves of the nutritious food that fuels their bodies and gives them the energy they need. Their taste buds have become adulterated as they have become addicted to sugar and white flour products. Drinking sodas on a daily basis has become an obsession and thus is one of the leading causes of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay in the United States. Just giving up sodas alone will drop a considerable amount of weight.

Eating fresh fruits and vegetables; raw nuts and seeds; and whole grains products, are what the body craves to produce the energy that is required to burn the body fat, especially the fat around the abdominal muscles. Changing your eating habits is the first step that needs to be taken to tighten stomach muscles by summer.

Eliminating Sodas And Sugar 

Junk FoodEating sugary, over-processed foods and drinking sodas has caused the taste buds to become adulterated and sugar addictions to run rampant. Again, sugar is one of the leading cause of obesity, diabetes and tooth decay in the United States. Once the sugar is cut from the diet the body will go through sugar withdrawals for a week or two while the body re-adjust, but once the body has been cleared of the toxins and of this addiction, the body will no longer physically crave it.

It is the mental psychology that will need to be worked on next because even though the body no longer craves the sugar, the mind does. You need to retrain your mindset, or reprogram the way you think.

You can psyche yourself into not wanting these foods anymore, which is what needs to be done, because you can't just do a few months of healthy nutrition and exercise to tighten the stomach muscles for the summer and then give it all up once you have achieved your goal. This has to be a life long commitment.

Once summer is over, if you resort back to your old unhealthy ways, your flabby belly will return quicker than it took to lose it, and you will be right back to where you began and it will be even harder to get rid of it again the next time around!

Retraining Your Thinking Patterns or Mindset

To lose belly fat, slim down, lose inches and start losing weight, you need to psyche your mind into not wanting to eat those artery clogging, fat producing, empty calorie foods is to continually ask yourself, when you see something you should be staying clear of, "Is this good for me?"

You have to train your mind to think, when you look at a gooey sugary cupcake, or a bag of potato chips at the supermarket, "Yuck! How can people eat that stuff? It is so bad for the body! That is disgusting!"

Turn it into your new mantra. By training your mind to think these thoughts, over and over, you will being thinking this way without thinking. In other words it will become second nature just as blinking your eyes or breathing. Real food will taste better, and after several months, the garbage food won't taste good any more as your taste buds return to their normal state.

I for one can not eat McDonald's hamburgers anymore without getting sick, in fact it has been over twenty-five years since I have had one and the smell of one turns me off now. My body can no longer tolerate the fats and preservatives that are in the hamburger meat and the white flour hamburger buns are like eating glue. They get stuck to the roof of my mouth and in my teeth. Disgusting!.

Just keep telling yourself, " This isn't good for me. I'm not going to eat this crap."

An added plus to all of this is that you will find that you are not getting sick as often as you use to as your body will be able to digest and use the nutrients that you are feeding it instead of over working itself to remove the toxins. Your natural immune system will begin to function better, your energy will increase and you will feel so much more alive and full of vitality.

Fool the Body with Exercise and Diet Switching 

To tighten your stomach muscles by summer you need to exercise along with the change of diet. By eliminating soda, white flour and sugar laden products and replacing with whole grains, fruits, nuts, seeds and vegetables you are now fueling your body to give it the energy that it needs to begin an exercise regime.

In other words, you are no longer eating empty calories that turn into fat and leave you feeling bloated and lethargic. You are now eating jet-fuel to energize the body.
