Tilia Food Saver - Tilia Food Savers - Vacuum Sealers For Food

Prior to purchasing my Tilia Food Saver I was thinking to my self whether it would be another one of those kitchen appliances i would use once and then pack away. I needn't have worried, this appliance is as useful as it looks. Occasionally my wife will grumble because I have way too much fun packaging stuff in custom-made bags. Now you'll be able to buy in bulk hot dogs, steaks, pork chops, chicken breasts and more besides, and package them in usable size helpings so freezer burn is less likely to occur.

This particular model, the one that i bought is the V2440 and is the latest in a series Tilia appliances. The latest features are an adjustment to reduce the crushing of fragile foods and a two speed setting for various size containers. The display lights on this model are particularly effective, so I know exactly when the sealing operation is complete and when vacuuming is finished and sealing has started.

As with all Tilia Food Saver appliances, this little marvel features a place to attach a hose to vacuum the various Food Saver canisters, available elsewhere on this page.

Whilst immersing the Tilia Food Saver appliance in water is not advisable, you can wash parts of the Food Saver if required.

Since i bought the Tilia Food Saver we have packaged steaks, chicken breasts, hot dogs, frozen garlic bread, pork steak, cheese, and other stuff I can't quite remember. Of course there are items you should take care in packaging, wet foods, because you shouldn't allow moisture to enter the Food Saver vacuum system, and crushable foods, such as bread and lettuce. This latest Tilia has a Crush ree%u2122 instant seal that cuts down the chance of damaging fragile foods.

Since buying the Tilia we have used it weekly and I like using it as much now as when i first got it two months ago. IIt really is a pleasure to use and i look forward to using it into the foreseeable future!
