Tim Holtz Configurations Boxes
This lens will follow my progress as I work on a Christmas themed Configurations box by Tim Holtz. I purchased version number 1 of the box and started collecting papers and embellishments to complete the display. I will update the lens as things progress. Wish me luck on getting this box ready for Christmas, 2010.
First steps
in preparing my Configurations box
To support my little tree, I decided to turn one of the horizontal boxes around so the solid side faces outward. The front of the box is cover with a small piece of an old line of Basic Grey papers. Next, the striped paper was covered with a thin layer of Ranger Ink's Rock Candy Distress Stickles. This glitter glue dries to a sparkly finish.

The numerals are attached to a a torn and inked scrap of patterned patterned paper from my stash. The numerals have pretty large holes in them to accept the brad fasteners that come in the set. I then glued the piece of paper to the area where my tree will be placed.
Let's add a few Santa images
to the Configurations box
The next step I took was to add some Santa images to my box. The ticket with Santa's picture is by Jenni Bowlin Studio. The large brad is from the Holly Jolly collection by My Mind's Eye.Below the ticket is a box holding a great Santa flash card from Pretty Little Studio. If you enjoy vintage Christmas items, check out the shop--they have a great collection.
