Tim Tebow

It's one thing to write a check to charity and that's as far as your efforts in helping goes. We all know that there are people with money who only donate to charity because it's a tax write off. They don't care who they're helping, even if it's going to a good cause or just into someone's pocket. I'm not say that this describes everyone who has the ability to give more than just a few dollars to charity, but I have crossed paths with people who are like this. Tim Tebow not only gives monetary donations to charities across the world, but he's actively involved with trying to help make this world a better place.

I recently found out that Tim Tebow went through nearly 2.5 million dollars in about 24 hours. Could you imagine that amount of money?! And to spend it like that in less than a day?! But don't get your panties in a bunch quite yet. The 2.5 million dollars that he 'spent' was all donated to various charities that he supports. His reasoning? "The money was burning a hole through my pocket," he said. "I just wanted to help people. There are so many people in need who can't afford a delay in aid. But, sure, if I had more time, I might have researched some of the charity organizations a little more to make sure all of the money will be used in the best possible way." Source

But that's not where it ends for this man. No, writing a check and having the media say he's being foolish for 'throwing' his money away isn't the end of the story. In college, Tebow and a group of students founded their own organization called the Wish 15. He continued to work with local charities, missionary work, the nonprofit he helped create, and I'm sure about a hundred other good deeds along the way that people aren't publicly aware of. In 2010 he founded the Tim Tebow Foundation where he pays for the administration costs and salaries out of his own pocket, so that the donations the organization gets can go directly to the people.

Oh, wait! There's more about that 2.5 million dollars. It's like the man just continues to grow more and more phenomenal as the seconds pass. With part of that money he also got himself a loft apartment in downtown Denver. Sounds pretty normal, right? Wrong. That apartment is being renovated into a soup kitchen and Tim Tebow's just staying there until the renovations are complete. I mean, c'mon! How could someone try and make him out to be a bad guy?!
