Presenting the Art of Tim Williams
We celebrated Tim's 31st birthday at the Olive Garden - he wanted a "grown up birthday, not one for a little kid." So we compromised ... an adult dinner with an adult beverage made with ice cream, some adult gifts of new sheets, a sweater and some videos, and a couple of electronic toys. It was an amusing yet bittersweet moment to see his eyes light up at the toys, despite his protestations that he wanted a "grown up" birthday party.
So today, as I remember, sometimes with tears I admit, the hard way he entered the world and the 18 years of wrong diagnoses, painful and terrifying separations when he was hospitalized, and rejoice that he's come farther than medical professionals ever thought he would, I am celebrating by putting some of his drawings on Zazzle. Whether he ever sells anything or not, I am certain he will be delighted to see his work on the web.
Maybe even as much as he liked the toys we bought him.

- Wish I could find more pictures of the storm that damaged Quartzsite. Am hoping my new friends are ok. I should have gotten phone numbers.
Say Hello to Tim - He'd be thrilled to know you took a look at his stuff.
Thanks in advance for encouraging him.
If you are disabled or are the parent of a disabled child, and would like to say something not visible to the public (and believe me, I know what that feels like) there is a contact me button on my lensmaster's page that you can use to send me a direct e-mail. You can access it below the comments, on the "About Me" where it says "see all my lenses." Please allow me a day or two to get back to you, in case I'm off taking somebody to the ER (you would not believe how often that happens in my life).
