My Goal is Peace on Earth and Let It Begin With Me
Over the years I have actually become a Buddhist. I received my dharma name Rinchen Chodron in 1999 from Thrangu Rinpoche. Rinchen Chodron translates as "precious dharma lamp" and that is what I try to do - light the way to dharma for people. I have numerous lenses on Buddhism. So if you are interested in Buddhism, please FIRST read this lens, then come back up top here and click here to visit my Buddhism lensography.
Enjoy Inner and Outer Peace
This special Royal Locket engraved with "PEACE" is paired with a gift of "Peace and Calming" blend of pure essential oils, inviting you to experience both inner and outer peace. The extra-long 42" double faced satin ribbon can be worn at any length and fashioned into your favorite bow or knot. Versatile in quiet sage, the ribbon can be removed and the locket easily clipped to your personal chains. For inner peace, just moisten a wick with a few drops of oil whose aromatic vapors will gently diffuse through the fine wreath of leaves on the sides of this locket.Purchase Your Aromawear - Aromatherapy Jewelry
Wear a Peace Pendant Diffuser
If you would like to be proactive about your health and wellness, then diffusing essential oils is the most practical and effective way to enjoy their benefits! To provide a pleasant scent to your environment try these sweet little necklaces which use the terra cotta to absorb and release the scent.
I have found the most wonderful website with a sweet little creation which would make a great and thoughtful gift for those you love. They have terra cotta pendants with all kinds of designs, including goddess designs, rune designs, as well as several other patterns. Have a look - the price is right! If you have a group you can order in bulk and receive wholesale pricing. The newest symbol on the pendants is the peace pendant. Have a look.
You can diffuse your essential oils using these pendants and the fragrance will last a long time. Terra Cotta Pendants make Aromatherapy as simple as breathing! Diffusing essential oils with a wearable diffuser that effectively and continuously disperses the oil into the air you breathe is a powerful way to support your desire to feel good all day long.
If you sell any brand of essential oil or fragrances these make wonderful and unique diffusers. They also have an affiliate marketing program.
So visit the site to order your pendant. They have this new Peace pendant and/or bracelet that I just love. What's cool about this type of diffuser is it can easily go with you anywhere! These are GREAT Gift ideas and the pendants are economical compared to other types of diffusers.
Dances of Universal Peace
I first started dancing with the Colorado group of Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) in 1991 here in Denver. I will be including a YouTube of the dances so that you can get an idea what they are like. These are simple circle dances. Some involve a partner and some do not. Anyone can do these dances - we have dancers in wheelchairs, we have dances in nursing homes, we have young dancers in the schools. Honor life, yourself, the earth and community in these simple dances which create love, harmony and beauty! At present I serve on the Diversity Committee at the College where I work and I am working with Student Services to host a dance this fall here at the College.
The actual full title of this group is the International Dances of Universal Peace and it is headquartered in the US in Seattle, Washington. But this group is in practically any country in the world by now. Just do a Google search and you will find a dance in your location. One of the things I love about the Dances is that I have met people from all over the world such as Peru, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, and every state in the United States as well. Honor life, yourself, the earth and community in these simple dances which create love, harmony and beauty.
Our passion is to Eat, Pray and Dance together and we have a lot of fun and a lot of LOVE! To learn about the history of these dances click here.

TAKE ACTION:
* Donate $10 to support Afghan Women: http://bit.ly/2lPX0G
* Read "On Afghanistan, We Need a Policy, Not a Macho Hissy Fit" by Yifat Susskind: http://bit.ly/1R3w8V
-------------------------------- ----------
After Barack Obama accepted the Nobel Peace Prize, he said "This award -- and the call to action that comes with it -- does not belong simply to me or my administration; it belongs to all people around the world who have fought for justice and for peace."
We take this call to action very seriously -- just as Obama needs to work to earn this profound honor, so do we. You may not see it in the mainstream media, but CODEPINK has been out there every day, being vibrantly visible and vocal for peace. On Sunday, we unfurled banners reading "President Obama: End Bush's Wars!" and "End the Afghan Quagmire" behind Tiger Woods at the President's Cup golf tournament. Last night, we capped off an amazing week of actions by hand delivering our petition with all of your signatures to President Obama himself, urging him to keep his promises for peace.
As we heed Obama's call to action--and encourage him to do so, himself --we also want to recognize and support the important work that others are already doing around the world for peace and justice. We especially want to honor the incredible women we met in Afghanistan who are standing up for women's rights in the face of unimaginable oppression. They are working for justice and change at a level that is almost impossible for us to comprehend. We want to give one group in particular, Women for Afghan Women, a peace prize of our own, and encourage you to donate $10 toward supporting their deeply necessary work: http://bit.ly/2lPX0G
Your $10 will pay for one of these vital services; $40 will cover all four items:
* Food for one woman for 7 days
* Medical care for one woman for one month
* One dress for one woman
* A young girl's school tuition for15 days
Donate here.
Thank you for using your mouth and your brain to speak out for peace in Afghanistan.

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson

Three Cups of Tea:
One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time

Some failures lead to phenomenal successes, and this American nurse's unsuccessful attempt to climb K2, the world's second tallest mountain, is one of them. Dangerously ill when he finished his climb in 1993, Mortenson was sheltered for seven weeks by the small Pakistani village of Korphe; in return, he promised to build the impoverished town's first school, a project that grew into the Central Asia Institute, which has since constructed more than 50 schools across rural Pakistan and Afghanistan. Coauthor Relin recounts Mortenson's efforts in fascinating detail, presenting compelling portraits of the village elders, con artists, philanthropists, mujahideen, Taliban officials, ambitious school girls and upright Muslims Mortenson met along the way. As the book moves into the post-9/11 world, Mortenson and Relin argue that the United States must fight Islamic extremism in the region through collaborative efforts to alleviate poverty and improve access to education, especially for girls. Captivating and suspenseful, with engrossing accounts of both hostilities and unlikely friendships, this book will win many readers' hearts.

One Mother's Journey Through Heartache to Activism

Peace Mom:
A Mother's Journey through Heartache to Activism

On April 4, 2004, Cindy Sheehan learned that Casey, the eldest of her four children, had been killed in Iraq, where he was serving in the United States Army. After struggling through crippling grief for three weeks, she came to an epiphany: "I will spend my life trying to make Casey's sacrifice count for peace and love, not killing and hate."
Peace Mom is the heartfelt and profoundly moving story of Cindy's journey to activism. She recounts the dark days following Casey's death, when it seemed her life would never have meaning again. She tells of her June 2004 meeting with President Bush, and how that encounter ultimately set her on a path that would take her to hearings in the Capitol, test old friendships and family ties, and culminate outside Crawford, Texas, in a monthlong peace action that would draw thousands of supporters and worldwide attention.

- Great lens, Peace on earth is a noble cause, but I think that is impossible to make piece with fanatics, non-educated fanatics, sick minds, and so on.
We will do our best of course! But in the same time we know that it is a limit!
