Time travel has long been believed to be nothing but a silly science-fiction theory--something you'd find only in movies and novels. However, with recent advances in quantum physics, the theory of time travel could be moving closer and closer to a reality.

Science - I don't think we're there yet. But in theory we could be one day. In fact, we're probably closer than I think. I'm certainly not the most scientific among us so how should I know. I'll stick with my "With God..." theory :)

There are a great many things that are possible, we just haven't fully realized how to accomplish them yet. Determining whether or not something is altogether impossible is a much more arduous task.
Is time travel impossible? Personally, I don't believe so. Traveling through time may seem far-fetched, but so did space flight. So did teleportation, which has recently been realized on the quantum level.
There are many theories as to why time travel could be impossible, but to each theory there is a counter as to why it is still a possibility.
You simply cannot write it off based purely on conventional knowledge.

i believe time travel could be possible. but to what you said tagtopics, all these events would still happen, cause the fabric of time/space cant be messed with, if a certain person didnt die in a nazi camp or 9/11 that could interfere with certain people meeting, getting together and having kids, go way back and that could cause something preventing your parents or grandparents from meeting and you being born.

Of course it is possible, millions do it every day, unfortunately it is only in one direction (forward) at a set rate (to move an hour into the future takes about 3600 seconds).
OK, I am being a smartarse but if it was possible, surely its effects would have been seen? That said there are a few successful people who should perhaps be questioned...

Something causes change but it isn't time because we can't point at anything and say that is time. Time, like many concepts we use to make sense of things, exists solely in our heads.

I don’t think right now all the possible outcomes of a future of these scientific advancements are computable.
