Timex have been making timepieces since the 1850's but it was not until the 1900's that they hit the big time with the "Yankee" Pocket watch which was the worlds largest selling pocket watche with over 40 million sold. In the 1933 during the depression they had the disney licence and made the Mickey Mouse watch which sold over 2 million.
Having survieved the 1970's shakeup with the Digital watch appearing they quickly rebounded and in the 1980's released the "Ironman Triathalon" this quickly became the best seller in America and by the 1990'S became the Worlds largest selling sports watch. Timex are still keeping pace with all the new inovations to hit the watchmaking industry and are known for good quality and competative priced watches.
