Tim Kring Knight Rider
Knight Rider:
An American TV series that ran from September 26, 1982, to August 8, 1986
Broadcast primarily on: NBC TV
Idea conceived by Glen A. Larsson
Produced by: Glen A. Larson
This show starred a hunky David Hasslehoff as a kind of modern day 'knight' with a really cool side-kick car instead of a horse.
David's character was that of Michael Knight, and he drove a character-laden 'smart car' that astounded audiences with its 'personality.'
Afterward the idea of 'high-tech' cop/action shows really took off in the 1980's, but no other show ever had a car so excellent and cool as the "Kit Car."
Re-runs of the show can still be seen on the NBC Universal "Sleuth" Channel, so if you'd like to have another glimpse of the Kit Car and a young, handsome, witty David Hasslehoff, you're still in luck!
In Canada, viewers can catch Knight Rider on the DejaVu network, Saturdays and Sundays.
Bravo, Virgin 1, and TV Land also carry the show still.
