Tina & Beyonce Sizzle at the Grammys
Tina Sizzles at the Grammys
Turner was given a generous three-song spotlight on Sunday's Grammy Awards, introduced by current hit maker Beyonce, who joined her for Proud Mary. Two songs were central to Turner's 1980s comeback, What's Love Got to Do With It and Better Be Good to Me.
Her stage presence brought to mind James Brown in his later years several steps slower, but capable of moves suggesting a famously energetic routine. And the high heels and skintight, low-cut outfit also necessitated some careful choreography and gentler steps.
IBN Live
TINA TURNER STILL SIZZLES: She's still got it! Tina Turner is older, and in some ways it shows, but wow, she remains rock 'n' R&B royalty. "What's Love Got to Do With It," "Better Be Good to Me" and then "Proud Mary" (with Beyoncé) proved that the unflappable diva commands an audience like no other. By the way, what was Beyoncé doing there? She added nothing. In fact, she might as well have been one of the background dancers. Stand back, girl, this is Tina's show.

- Tina is one of my all-time faves, and if she can look that buff and shake it that hard at age 68, honey, I don't care what you say, she got it goin'. Thank you for submitting this fine lens to the Boomers Rock! group. It is a long-awaited addition.

- I was lucky enough to see Tina Turner at a small concert back in the 80s ( not sure which year ). It was at the Hilton HOtel, Adelaide, South Australia. There were probably about 500 people, we had dinner first, then Tina Turner did a show. What a night!! She is amazing!
My husband was happy because he could see her beautiful legs up close!
