Ever since I can remember I've had a ringing in my ears.

It's only in the past ten years that my wife convinced me I also had a hearing loss.  After finding out there is no medically known cure, I've done a lot of research on what causes tinnitus and how people cope with the sound that never goes away.

I'll share my experiences and research through this lens.

Give me a couple weeks, I just started this lens. Thanks.

Background noise about Tinnitus

Tinnitus or Tinnitus?
When the experts can agree on how to pronounce a medical condition, I get a little depressed.
The American Tinnitus Association says: pronounce it either TIN-it-us, or ti-NIGHT-us.
All I know is when I'm described it to my new GP and he pronounced it differently that I did, I felt stupid. But I got over it.
