Chihuahuas
The little Chi
The chihuahua is often called "Chi". There are many colors they come in. They are stubborn. And the snallest dogs in the world. The smallest type of Chihuahua is the Teacup Chihuahua. There are many Chihuahua owners who are glad they got a Chihuahua. They can run really fast. Their name is hard for most people to spell. They sometimes spell it Chawawa, Chiwawa, Chihauhau, etc Stuff you need to know about the Chihuahua

Origin
where they come from
Chihuahuas originate from Mexico. They are named after a city there called Chihuahua. The people of Mexico thought that Chihuahuas scared away spirits. They are the oldest domestacated dog breed from North America. But some say it might have come from china. And was brought to Europe at the end of the 19th century. Description
what they look like
The have large ears and small bodies, They have large heads, also. They have an apple-shaped head. And, a small pointed nose(muzzle). They have a body that is longer than their tail. And long skinny tails. They can be long-haired or short-haired. They can be black, red, fawn, cream, blue, chocolate, sable, spotted, silver,and brindle Why they shiver constantly
The Chihuahua tendency to shiver or tremble is not a health issue but takes place when the dog is excited or stressed. One explanation is the toy dogs have a higher metabolism and so dissipate body heat faster than larger dogs. Shivering helps to generate body heat - that's why people shiver when we are cold. However, rapid dissipation of body heat is a distinct disadvantage in cool or cold climates, so Chihuahuas should always be protected when taken outdoors in these areas. Chihuahuas are stuborn and difficult to train. But with patience they are trainable. They responed to praise and love. They can be house trained, also. But what makes it hard is because they use their cute little eyes as an advandige to get what they want. Most of the time people fall for it. So be strict but not to mean. Try to ignore them for a few minutes a day so they calm down and don't freak out every time you walk in. And never over feed them.
