OUR MULTIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

It is not easy to balance work at home with housework, childcare, husband, friends, leisure, etc.
Our lives can become out of control, we can feel exhausted, stressed and very unhappy.
However, when we decided to work at home we thought of the many advantages of this option. But on the way we encounter difficulties to be addressed.
It is not enough to have the technological tools that make work easier; we must also be able to organize our time to properly address our many responsibilities.
I found it interesting to share the most common difficulties and propose some alternative solutions.

10 TIPS TO ORGANIZE YOUR WORK AT HOME

type=text1. Schedule: Plan your work schedule as if someone were to supervise. So you will not end up working from 1 to 4 am and after from 2 to 5 pm. This would end up killing you because it alters your normal life and your entire family. It is important to have time spent working and for everything else (family, friends, cinema, etc.).

2. Let your family know and respect your work time at home. So they will learn to not to interrupt or ask you to do things for them during that time. Otherwise, it will take longer to complete your task and you will not have time for your family.

3. Don't forget your habits: if you stay at home, get dressed to look nice and feel better. Jogging suit or sleepwear is not appropriate to think in your work. Well dressed, well received: this also applies working at home. You will see that you are more efficient if your attitude is correct.

4. Look for a good place to work. Comfortable, airy and well lit. Where you can isolate noise and achieve a good level of concentration. The bedroom or living room are probably not the best places.

5. Make achievable goals in a reasonable time. Don't be dismayed or frustrated, fulfil your goals. Set small goals that can actually be performed and do what is necessary to meet your deadlines.

6. Take an agenda: it is part of your organization. You can't trust that you will remember everything. Write and review what you wrote down.

7. Do not lower the rate of job when you not achieve the results you expect. Review, improve, execute new ideas. Soon you will see that the bad weather passes and you make progress anyway.

8. Take a break to clear the mind. After several hours of work you can't think clearly or self-assess what you are doing. Maybe it's time to do some exercise: go for a walk or ride your bike, look at flowers in your garden, etc. You'll see that you come back refreshed and energized.

9. Remember your motivations, why you do what you are doing. Otherwise, when the results are not the best, you're going to disappoint. Keep up your expectations and remember the life you want to experience.

10. Keep any TV as far as possible from your work environment, unless it is part of your work (video editing). Stay as far as possible from social networks during work time, as they occupy and distract.

Any advice?

I'd love to hear if you have more tips that I may forgot, or have any personal experience working from home, you want to share.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO WORKING AT HOME

I found myself in some of these situations:

type=text- I forgot my grooming, like being at home does not matter how I look. I remember that it is important to have a pleasant appearance to those I love.

- Working to much hours and end very tired. I have sleep deprivation and I'm not in a good mood. Respect my work schedule has become a very important aspect.

- No healthy eating: respect times of eat and food prepared with care and affection. "Not only do I cook for others, but I deal with my own welfare." This is something I have to repeat myself from time to time.

- Work on holidays and during vacations. This may work for a while, but in long term you end hating what you do, your children grow up without you know them and your husband got bored long ago. Beware!

- Sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise. The "brother donkey" in the words of St. Francis of Assisi, requires that we care it. Regular exercise is part of the routine care of the body. Our body is the "house" more important in were we live. Let's try not to abandon us.

What is your worst habit?

The bad habit that has cost me more to change is work excessive hours. I focus and enthusiasm with thus I'm doing, that becomes my only priority. Thank God, my children take me back to reality with their complaints.

WHAT TO DO WITH CHILDREN

It is important to spend time with your kids and teenagers, talk to them, have fun and supervise the school work. If you organize you can reconcile your role as mother with your WAH.

type=text1. Young children like to help in domestic chores because it reinforces their self-esteem and sense of control over the world, which becomes as a safe place to live. With teenagers should be stronger: although not interested, should be responsible for their room and help with household chores. This is an important part in its formation. Assign to each his household tasks depending on their abilities and capabilities.

2. What could be more fun to know that periodically (one day a week, every fortnight or month) we're going out with Mom? Organizes trips and outings (movies, for ice cream or anything else) so that children know they are being privileged and the mother keeps a special time for them.

3. Sacrifice some afternoon inviting friends to your children and organizing fun activity (pyjama party, tallarinata, burgers, film and movies, etc). You will see that other mothers will return the invitation to your child. He will have fun and you have more peace to work.

4. Ask for help to the grandmothers and grandparents: many of them love to receive their grandchildren. You have strong motivations to enable collaboration in training of children. The whole family will be benefit.

5. Set a daily time (may be an hour) that you dedicate only to your children, before bed, when they arrive from school, after dinner, etc. It will become the time of day for the most important conversations. Children will be expectant waiting this time, so it is very important that you respect it. You'll see that you also feel better because you've spent valuable time with your children.

6. Promotes activities for children: siblings need time together. Organize activities that can be made between them. It will be fun and you don't have to pay attention to them while they are busy.
