Find Out How To Create Songs Easily By Following These 3 Simple Tips On Songwriting!

Being a musician is one thing, but writing your own songs is something completely different. There were many occasions when I found myself being unable to turn an amazing musical idea into a song. I just didn't know how to use my riffs and melodies to create a good song. Fortunately, these days are past now. And from my own experience I can tell that to overcome that problem it is enough to follow 3 really simple tips on songwriting that I will show you on this lens! Enjoy!

Tips On Songwriting Part 1 - Create!

I simply cannot stress it enough - you have to keep creating, producing musical ideas. Do not judge yourself, not every part of a good song is a masterpiece, it is always about the best moment that everybody is waiting for. The more you create, the more material you've got to work with.

What's more, every new song, even if it's not the best one, gives you more experience as a songwriter. Remember, a good songwriter is not the one that writes only good songs, but the one that has the ability to pick the best ones. That is the case with any singer or band. Many songs are created, and even recorded, but in the end only the best ones are released on an album. More tips on songwriting below!

Tips On Songwriting Part 2 - Gather Ideas And Put Them Together.

Do not let yourself think that if you have a great idea for a song, it will stay in your head forever. If you like something you've just played, or just something came to your mind, try recording it in any way.

You can write it down as notes or as guitar tab, or record it using a voice recorder (most mobile phones and mp3 players have such function). Once you start keeping record of what you've created, you'll see how easy it is to build the whole library of ideas you can mix and match. And if you can't develop an idea into a song, don't worry. Sooner or later you will come up with something that can be used to push the song forwards.

Tips On Songwriting Part 3 - Be Open-Minded

You never know when you can get your inspiration from. Listen to other people's music. Try listening to the genres that you don't normally do. If you're stuck with a song you can't finish, go out with your friends, see a movie. Read more of my tips on songwriting (well you don't have to, but IT'S RECOMMENDED :D ).

Everything can be inspiring even if you don't expect it to be. The whole point is to make you active and keep your imagination working. Inspiration is not something you can summon anytime you need it. Very often (in fact majority of the time) it won't listen to you and will laugh at you while you stare at the wall hoping for a miracle. So take action! That's all there is to it.
