Salvation Prayer

Oh sinner, come to Jesus! Backslider, come to Jesus!
You that are on drugs or alcohol, you that use tobacco in any form: you can be set free by the mighty power that's in the name of Jesus. Lift your hand and mean this prayer, and God will hear. You'll be saved right there where you are. Untold multitudes have been saved this very way.

Or, say the sinner's prayer now:

Say, "Oh God, save my soul. I'm so sorry that I have sinned against you, but I have come home. I will serve you, Lord, the rest of my life. Deliver me from all my sinful habits. Set me free! I do believe Jesus died on Calvary for me, and I believe in His blood, that there is power in His blood to wash away all my sins, all my sins!" Say, "Come into my heart, Jesus; come on in, Jesus. Come on in!"

If you meant it, He has come. If you meant it, Jesus is yours. Start reading your Bible, pray daily and believe that somebody's listening; His name is Jesus. Bible fasting will help you, too. If you have any special prayer requests, feel free to contact me (Roger Bovee, PO Box 404, Wautoma, WI 54982) and I will help you pray. Look to Jesus, hold to His unchanging hand and one day heaven will be yours.

God bless you. In addition, you might want to read the comic book Christian tract, "This Was Your Life," by Jack Chick free online. Click Here!

What Does The Bible Say About Tithes And Offerings?

So what does the Bible have to say about tithes and offerings? Virtually nothing in the New Testament. Jesus taught mostly almsgiving, so that's what I promote. In the Sermon on the Mount Jesus taught about "when thou doest alms" in Matthew 6:3. When you fast. When you pray. Nothing about tithing in the Sermon on the Mount.

So it's obvious Jesus wants us to give alms. I can tell the story about gentile Cornelius. He was a Roman centurion. He was apparently reading the Old Testament of the Bible and trying to do what it said. The Bible says he was a "devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway." Acts 10:2. Nothing about tithes. He was finding all of this in the Old Testament of the Bible,

And there is a lot in the Old Testament of the Bible about giving alms to the poor. The virtuous woman of Proverbs "stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy." Proverbs 31:20. Proverbs 28:27 says "He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse." We know that Job gave much to the poor and needy, and throughout the Old Testament we see that the righteous were ones who helped the poor and needy.

Back to the New Testament, in 3 John we see that Gaius was one who the Apostle John wished would "prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." 3 John 2. And Gaius was apparently a man who showed "charity" to "the brethren, and to strangers." So this man's ministry of almsgiving was commended by the Apostle John.

Jesus talked about a hypocritical Jew who bragged in prayer about his tithing and fasting twice a week. But Jesus said he was proud and his prayer was "with himself." Luke 18:11. This man walked away unjustified while a publican, who smote himself on his breast and said "God be merciful to me a sinner" went away justified. Luke 18:13.

And Jesus talked about the sheep and goat nations in Matthew 25:31-46. Jesus will one day divide all the people of the world into two groups, The one, the sheep, go to heaven and the goats go to hell. The sheep are those who have given food, drink and clothing (almsgiving) to the poor and needy Christians while the goats are those who didn't.

If you can give 10% of your income to your local church go ahead. If no one did many of them would go out of business. But many Christians today, like the hypocritical Pharisee, give 10% to their local church while giving little if anything to poor and needy people. I think Jesus would be more happy with you if, like Zacchaeus in the Bible (Luke 19:1-10), would give 50% of your income to the poor apparently without paying tithes.

Pray this prayer with me right now: "Lord Jesus. I call upon Your name. Save me to the uttermost and the loved ones I mention right now. Heal us. Give us Your divine health. Prosper us. Baptise us with the Holy Ghost and fire. Cleanse us from all of our sins and iniquities with the water and Your precious blood right now. deliver us from all devils and addictions; all the power of Satan. Set us free Lord Jesus, free indeed. Fill us with Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I'll attend church regularly, read my Bible every day, do my best to do what it says from now on. Give me a heart for the lost and a heart for the poor. Amen."

I have a ministry of helping the poor and needy in my area. You know, I've had this website going for several years already and hundreds have visited and I have yet to have anyone donate a dime to me to support my ministry. Poor people in my area need help. Some are on the verge of suicide. I try to help them out of my factory worker's salary, but it only goes so far. I would really appreciate it if someone would donate at least $100 to help me get a business going so I could help these people more abundantly. The need is desperate. Please help!

Sermon: "Except Ye Repent, Ye Shall All Likewise Perish" Luke 13:3.

"Except Ye Repent, Ye Shall All Likewise Perish" Luke 13:3.

These are the words of Jesus Christ. John the Baptist similarly preached repentance. Matthew 3:2. The Apostle Peter preached repentance. Acts 2:38. There is an aspect of salvation that if we believe the gospel, that Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins and rose again the third day, that He is the Christ and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and are baptized we are saved. According to that definition most people of most churches are saved.

So why did Jesus tell a couple of people to sin no more? Yes, we are saved by grace, not by works, but the Bible has a lot of good things to say about good works too. The Bible says we are justified by our works. So you were fortunate enough to have heard the gospel message, and you believed it, and you went to a church somewhere and got baptized. That's great. But what are you doing now?

The Bible says we need to "be born again." It's a continuing process. Don't say "I was born again on June 20th, 1965," say "I am born again." God wants it in the present tense. Don't say, "I got baptized in the Holy Spirit on July 28th, 1979," say "I am filled with the Holy Spirit." The Bible said "Be filled with the Spirit." Ephesians 5:18.

The churches are full of people who don't pray, they don't read the Bible, they don't praise the Lord, they don't fast, they don't give alms. The Bible says Jesus is coming back for a people looking for Him to come. Jesus said, "Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man." Luke 21:36.

Notice it's not all the Christians that ever believed the gospel message that go. It's the prayer warriors. In Ezekiel 9 God told angels to put a mark on those who were sighing and crying for the abominations done in the land. The prayer warriors were marked, and then everyone else were destroyed. Read it.

Cornelius is a good example of a man who repented. Read his story in Acts 10. He was giving much alms and was praying always. He was devout, so God sent an angel to him telling him to send to Joppa for Simon Peter to come to preach to him. Cornelius wasn't saved here in the sense that he had never heard the gospel message. He apparently had a copy of the Old Testament of the Bible, and was reading it, praying daily, giving alms to the poor, and fasting. He was finding this in the Old Testament and was doing everything he knew to do to reform his life even before he was saved.

I think these were the kind of Jews who accepted the gospel message. They were reading the Bible daily and trying to do what it said. Were they perfect? No. Were they sinless? No. But these devout people were the ones, the Annas, the Simeons, the Peters, the Johns, the Zacchaeuses, who immediately accepted and recognized Jesus as the Christ when He came. Even some Jewish women who had fallen into harlotry, but they still believed the Bible and were doing their best to follow it, accepted Jesus. John the Baptist turned away some scribes and Pharisees who came to be baptized, and told them to first bring forth fruits meet for repentance.

When Peter came and preached a short sermonette to Cornelius and his friends they immediately got saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit, for "they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God." Acts 10:46. Cornelius is our example of one who repented as well as just getting saved by believing and being baptized, and I imagine Cornelius continued to live his life with regular prayers, almsgivings, fastings, and Bible reading, only after that praying in tongues and magnifying God as well. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

"Ye Must Be Born Again."

I heard an old minister once preach a sermon entitled "Ye Must Be Born Again." I remember that he said, "Why am I preaching on 'Ye must be born again?' because Jesus Christ said 'Ye must be born again.'" John 3:7. So how do we get born again? I know a lot of churches don't use the term "born again" and that doesn't necessarily mean that many of them are born again. I think that it means believing the gospel message. Jesus Christ said, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 16:15,16.

So what is the gospel? That Jesus Christ, who was God, the Son of God, voluntarily came down to earth, was born of the virgin Mary in Bethlehem in Judea. That He was the Christ or Messiah of Bible prophecies. That according to those prophecies that He died on a cross so that we can be saved and healed. But then He rose again two days later. That hundreds of people witnessed Him alive and well as is recorded in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the New Testament of the Bible. Then He ascended up into heaven to sit at the right hand of God the Father. He's still alive today, and He's able to hear our faintest cry for help. The Bible said "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:10.

So I can just whisper that name "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, save me, heal me, help me" and He will hear and answer. But you might say, "I don't know if He will help me. I'm an Arab. I'm poor. I'm handicapped. I've done a lot of horrible things in my life." The Bible said "whosoever." An old song I used to sing said "Whosoever meaneth me." I'm whosoever. You're whosoever. You don't have to be Roman Catholic, but Christianity is a catholic, or universal, religion. The Bible says "God is love" and He loves us all equally or impartially. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." So do you believe? You can even pray as one fellow in the Bible did "Lord, I believe. Help thou mine unbelief." So please invite Jesus into your heart today. Say or whisper this prayer, "Lord Jesus, I call on Your name right now. Save me. Heal me. Make me born again. Come into my heart. Change me to be like You. Cleanse me. Wash away my sins. Help me to live for You the rest of my life. Amen."

How To Receive The Baptism In The Holy Spirit

First of all, why is it important that we receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues? As a Christian, it's important if we want to go in the rapture. Jesus said the wise virgins took oil with their lamps while the foolish virgins didn't. Matthew 25:1-13. Oil is a type of the Holy spirit. At the midnight hour when the rapture happened the wise virgins walked in while the foolish couldn't find their way.

There are two churches today, the Laodicean and the Philadelphian. Revelations 3:3-22. The real baptism in the Holy Spirit will bring some persecution. All who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution the Bible says. 2 Timothy 3:12. The Bible says the Philadelphian church has kept the word of my patience. Tribulation worketh patience. The Philadelphian church has already had their tribulation so they don't need to go through any more. The Laodicean church is bragging they are rich, increased in goods and have need of nothing, but what they need is the baptism in the Holy Spirit and then they will start getting some persecution. If you aren't getting any persecution you don't have the real thing if you think you already are baptized.

So how do we receive this? We need to be cleansed. The Spirit will fill the temple when it's cleansed. Call a day of fasting to seek the Lord with all your heart. Jesus said if our feet are cleansed we're cleansed all over. Wash our feet in the name of Jesus. Take a bath and say "I baptize myself in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus." Read these Psalms as prayers for cleansing: Psalm 19, Psalm 51, and Psalm 79. Read Ezekiel 36:24-38 and pray for all that for you.

Then on a Monday through Friday during business hours call Brother Ted Shuttlesworth's ministry toll free at 1-888-323-2484 and ask them to pray for you to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking with other tongues or just pray to God yourself if you live in a country where you can't get through at that number. Surrender all you are and all you have, including your tongue to God now and forever. Yield yourself and begin to speak in an unknown tongue or language. Whatever is there, no matter how foolish it may seem. Keep praying as long as it's there. Sometimes the Holy Ghost will pray through us in sighings and groanings too.

Then just keep groaning and sighing until you feel relieved. It's like giving birth to a baby. Then repeat this every day - in the morning. The Bible said "Be filled with the Spirit." Ephesians 5:18. We need to be Spirit filled prayer warriors in these last days, if we want us and our loved ones to go to heaven in the rapture soon to come and escape the coming Tribulation.

Tithes and Offerings - Pray and Go to Church

Tithe, Tithes, Tithing Why Tithe, Should Christians Tithe?

Ask God the Father, in the name of Jesus, to give you the Holy Spirit and then begin to "groan in the Spirit" in prayer at least an hour every day. See Romans 8:26-28 and 2 Corinthians 5:1-4. You can also call on the name of Jesus and ask Him for help in your daily activities. Romans10:9,10. Ask God to protect you and your loved ones with His angels every day and prepare you for heaven in the rapture of the Bride of Christ. You need to find a good church to attend regularly if you're able to get out. If you're a shut in have your own service every Saturday or Sunday, with Bible reading, praise and prayer. If you can get to a church, try to find one where they encourage you to stop sinning and aren't promoting Republican politics. A lot of churches nowadays are "Mystery Babylon" of Revelations chapter 17.

How To Receive Divine Healing

Tithe, Tithes, Tithing Why Tithe, Should Christians Tithe?

First realize that Jesus Christ came to give us life and that more abundantly. John 10:10. It's Satan who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil, including sickness and death. God is no respecter of persons. God is love. He loves us all equally. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hebrews 13:8. If we really believe that Jesus is the Christ and that He rose from the dead and is still alive today, then we know that He still will save, heal and deliver people today. There's many today who call themselves Bible believers who don't think Jesus heals any more. They don't think Jesus baptizes with the Holy Spirit any more. They don't think He casts out devils any more. So how can you believe that nonsense and call yourself a Bible believer? "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:10. I read in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John that when people came to Jesus, calling on His name, believing that He was the Christ and asking Him for help He always helped them. What He's done for others He'll do for you. Call on His name right now and ask Him for help in what you need!
