TLC Promotions: Internet Marketing and Business Resources
Even though TLC Promotions has been around for a long time, especially in Internet time, I realize that not everyone knows about it. I would like to change that. TLC Promotions is the result of my search for a way to create an income online. The site is a collection of tips and resources for creating and promoting whatever you're into, on the Internet.

Rather than become an MLM giant, I began writing about the programs that came to me in the form of SPAM. I investigated some frauds and some less than ethical business opportunities; but the main thing is that I reconnected with my passion for writing. I began writing an ezine and publishing it via an RSS feed and then I started a company writing promotional copy in article format for others. From there I went to writing a book. I've written several, actually. The best experience I've had though is the socialization. I have met some truly awesome people and learned much over time. Would I do things differently if I were to begin right now? Sure, a few, but not too much. I would only change the amount of time I actually spent working an MLM business. I would have saved a great deal of money. I believe in the MLM company I chose and the products they manufacture, but I just couldn't get others as excited about it as I am. I am still a Preferred Customer, but I am not a great business builder. At least when it comes down to MLM, I'm not. I have however, built a nice business as a freelance commercial writer, and I enjoy the work very much. After having my reputation trashed by an envious liar, I have been rebuilding what she tried to destroy. That's just who I am. I am a fighter and a survivor. I have met so many knowledgeable and inspiring people online and I wouldn't trade that for all the money in the world. I have learned much by surrounding myself with people who know more than I do. That is the best part of self-education. I don't have an college degrees, but do I really need them? I don't think so. I have a brain; therefore I can learn. Sure, I'd like to be able to say that I have made a fortune online, but that would be a lie. I have made enough to help with expenses and that is about it. But, that is okay. I loved every minute of the work, and work is not work when you love what you do. I love what I do. I haven't punched a time clock in 15 years and I have loved being a stay-at-home-mom. It doesn't pay as well as a union job, but the rewards have been many. I wouldn't trade the time I got to spend with my kids for anything.
The time has come to say good-bye. I have spent enough time online to know when it is time to leave. I'll still be online, but not in the same capacity. I have to write, but I am going to have to change platforms. I can no longer afford to maintain my domains or feeds, and I am going to have to resort to: dare I say, free stuff. So, I will be on Squidoo and Blogger, but TLC Promotions and Ads-OnQ are closing up shop. The overhead has exceeded the revenue. I have thought about this for a very long time now, and it just has to be done. At one time, my business was quite successful, but now it doesn't even pay for itself. I would like to apologize to my faithful visitors and subscribers for having to remove this information from your access, but what's a girl gonna do? So, now comes the end of TLC Promotions, AdsOnQ and The Trii-Zine Ezine. It's been fun, but it is now time to move on.
