Bad Breath Invades Smokers Mouth
Have you ever been on the other end of tobacco bad breath? Death breath and stinky breath are certainly appropriate names for this. Chewing tobacco, snuff, or smokeless tobacco, pipe or cigar smoking - it doesn't matter what you call it. It all smells the same when you exhale. If the smell of tobacco smoke on your clothes isn't bad enough, imagine what kind of morning mouth you have when you get up the next day, or morning breath.
So what is a smoker to do? Oral hygiene should be tops on your list. You see, this is what's happening inside your mouth. The smoke dries your mouth out which and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. The nicotine and tar stuff attach to your teeth and soft gum tissues. This becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. With all this increase in bacteria they can decompose all the proteins found in your mouth into more of those stinky volatile sulfur compounds.
Anyone with tobacco bad breath should incorporate these oral hygiene habits into there daily routine. Make sure you take the time to brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day. When brushing, brush for at least two minutes or longer and if you use a mouthwash use a non-alcohol based product. Smoker breath or not, everyone should see his dentist at least annually.
