These are the lyrics from Todd Bangz's debut album, "Think It's A Game", track 10. It's people like Todd that is changing the face of hip hop represented by Christians. In other words, it ain't wack no more. About ten years ago this genre of Christian music was the most corniest sound on the earth. Their peers laughed at them while their mothers and grandmothers thought it was cute that they were saying their little rap about Jesus. When Todd expresses that he's too hard for ministry he's talking about how the church can't handle the raw beats and ill metephors from today's hottest emcees. It's time out for ABC rhyming over wack beats. Todd and every other dope artist that I showcase have a mandate to penetrate the mainstream with their God given talent, accepted by the church or not. God gave these emcees the gift of rhyming wether the church likes it or not. If this generation is in error for mixing Christianity with hip hop then that's just something we'll have to deal with on judgement day. But I'm pretty sure we'll be hearing, "Well done, my good and faithful servant".

It would be easy for Todd Bangz to rest on his production accomplishments and sharing pulpits and stages with top Christian artists. But a self-imposed break from the music industry in 2002 was not the sign of the end, but of new beginnings. With the June 2005 release of Think It's a Game, Todd Bangz is building again, but with a more defined vision in sharing the message of the gospel through the preached, rapped and lived word of God!
