"To Kill the Christ"
Introduction:
In this historical speculative fiction, an American Protestant doctoral candidate in Oxford and his fiancé, an English Catholic nurse, along with a Muslim trader who is a member of a terrorist group, are blasted into tribal Britannia at the time of Christ. Can they build a kingdom together while trying to answer the question: Why am I in this time? What does God or Allah intend for me to do? Raphael, the Muslim, concludes that Allah wants him to stop the development of Christianity by killing Jesus. Carl, the American, doesn't think Raphael can kill Jesus if He's the Christ, but Rebecca, now his wife, believes that they were sent into time to stop Raphael, much like Terminator II. Carl must chase Raphael across the Roman Empire in an attempt to stop him.
To Kill the Christ is the author's first novel. It is Book One of a Trilogy entitled "A Kingdom Called Long Reach." Reader Feedback
Comments from readers, particularly comments on the accuracy of the history, are welcome. I have tried to make it as accurate as possible, but the book is a fantasy. The book's characters interact with historical characters, but the early history of Britannia is murky. Scholars differ on certain characters, the spelling of their names, and even dates.
