Tom's Restaurant Aka Tom's Diner - Why It Is So Popular
Tom's Restaurant also known as Tom's Diner became famous for its appearances in the TV sitcom Seinfeld. It has been owned and operated by the Greek-American Minasizoulis family since 1950's. But this cozy restaurant is also mentioned in famous song Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega and in Merideth Sue Willis's novel Trespassers.
Actually, in Seinfeld only the exterior of the building was used and the famous sign - or rather part of ("Restaurant", without "Tom's").
