Tony Jaa is a martial artist, actor, stuntman, and choreographer who has starred in the Ong-Bak trilogy. He is now a Thai monk as well. If you've ever seen his movies, you know that Tony Jaa not only performs some impressive stunts, but also maintains a great lean body. Tony Jaa Background

Tony Jaa grew up watching movies by Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Jet Li, amongst others. These movies inspired him to learn martial arts. He would practice regularly, even when performing chores. He would do somersaults off the backs of the family elephants as well. He eventually utilized his knowledge of Taekwondo and Muay Thai to become a stuntman.

Tony Jaa Training

Tony Jaa performs an excessive amount of training to stay in amazing shape. Here is the workout routine that he follows:
- Wake up at 5 or 6 am
- Warm-up (massage, stretching)
- 10 kms running
- 30 minutes to one hour of warm-up (Muay Thai movements, stretching, gymnastic)
- Meditation
- 8 hours of daily martial arts and stunt training

As you can see, Jaa does not include weight lifting in his routine. Instead, his exercise consists of meditation, kickboxing, and practice jumping between two elephants to improve his balance.
