Famous Cartoons from the 80s and 90s
Swat Kats
Lets kick some tail!
Chance "T-Bone" Furlong and Jake "Razor" Clawson were members of Megakat City's paramilitary law enforcement agency, known as the Enforcers. While in pursuit of Dark Kat, one of the main arch-villains of the series, the two went against Enforcer Commander Feral's orders to fall back and leave Dark Kat to him. When they objected, citing their already-acquired target lock, Commander Feral used his jet to slap their wing, sending Chance and Jake's jet crashing into Enforcer headquarters and allowing Dark Kat to get away. In his anger, Feral discharged Chance and Jake from the Enforcers and reassigned them to work at a city salvage yard to pay for the damage to the Enforcer Headquarters.Using discarded military parts and weapons from the salvage yard, Chance and Jake build themselves a three-engine jet fighter called the Turbokat (a mix between an F-14 and a Lamborghini!).
Transport:
Cyclotron - a motorcycle built into the jet
Turbo Mole - a subterranean vehicle used to drill underground
Hoverkat - a militarized hovercraft
Thunder Truck - a militarized Jeep modified from their tow truck
All these are stored in their secret hanger below the junkyard, which has an absolutely awesome turntable and runway built-in for the Turbokat!
Villains:
Dark Kat
Pastmaster
Doctor Viper
The Metallikats
Madkat
Volcanus
T-Bone and Razor keep their identities secret from everyone, even from the deputy Mayor Callie Briggs (who is, ironically, a character more important than the mayor himself). Their methods do not endear them to Commander Feral, and the series often has the three clash.

Many episodes involve protecting his wealth from villains who want to rob Scrooge of all his money.
Villains:
Beagle Boys
Magica De Spell
Flintheart Glomgold (always on the lookout to deposing Scrooge from "Richest duck in the world" title)

Darkwing Duck
Let's get dangerous!
This show followed the capers of Drake Mallard aka Darkwing Duck, who is a homely father type by day, and a 'ferocious' crime fighter by night!Characters:
Gosalyn Mallard - Drake Mallard's 9-year-old adopted daughter. Occasional crime fighter as "Crimson Quackette" and later as "Quiverwing Quack".
Launchpad McQuack (such a cool name!) - Darkwing Duck's sidekick (yes, the same from Duck Tales). He refers to Darkwing as "DW" and Darkwing often calls him "LP".
Honker Muddlefoot - The Mallards' next door neighbour and Gosalyn's best friend.
Herb Muddlefoot - Father of Honker Muddlefoot and Drake Mallard's happy-go-lucky neighbour. Drake usually finds him very irritating. Herb sells Quakerware (think Tupperware) as a salesman for a living.
Darkwing Duck usually yells out some instantly concocted entry lines when confronting criminals, as he believes in making a big entrance! Here are a few of them! He usually starts with 'I am the terror that flaps in the night...'
I am the weed-wacker in the garden of evil
I am the switch that derails your train
I am the surprise in your cereal box
I am the smoke that smokes smoked oysters
I am the water balloon that lands right on your head
I am the fast food that comes back to haunt you
I am the batteries that aren't included
I am the single career man all women want to date
I am the wierdo that sits next to you on the bus
I am the ten dollars service charge on all returned checks

Chip and Dale form a detective agency with female mouse inventor Gadget Hackwrench, muscular adventuring Australian mouse Monterey Jack, and Zipper the fly. This show featured them as the Rescue Rangers who helped the less fortunate. In this series, Chip is the responsible, no-nonsense leader and Dale is the goofy, laid back, happy-go-lucky sort.

Scooby Doo
Scooby Doo, Where Are Youuuuuu?????
Followed the adventures of four 25 year-olds and their 'talking' dog, Scooby Doo. The show usually followed a template of a mystery/puzzle which comes to the attention of 'the gang'. The ends of the show always involved a scene where the gang and everyone concerned would gather and unmask the ghost/ghoul/phantom to reveal the real crook.Characters:
Fred - The leader of the gang and usually gives the order 'Let's split up and look for clues', wherein Fred and Daphne go in one direction, and Shaggy, Wilma and Scooby go in the other. Has good skills in making traps to catch the bad guys.
Daphne - The fashionable girl who is from a well-to-do family
Wilma - The 'brains' of the gang, she usually begins to put the clues together before any of the others
Shaggy - The 'so scared, he's funny' character in the gang. Has a voracious appetite and is reputed for gobbling concoctions such as the 'triple cheese marshmellow and pepperoni pizza' and the 'triple chocolate and meatball sundae'.
Transport: The mystery machine (think a GMC Camper Van with a green and blue paint job with a couple of orange flowers on either side!).

Tom and Jerry
-Roar-... -Roar-... (MGM lion intro!)
Follows the capers of a blue-grey coloured cat (Tom) and a brown mouse (Jerry). Highly comical and 'roll around laughing' funny, the show involved Tom devising all sorts of plans and traps to catch Jerry and 'make his day'.Tom usually is shown to live a pampered life while Jerry is usually trying to steal a morsel right from under his nose! This usually ends up in a lot of mayhem and they just about end up destroying their immediate surroundings.
Tom also usually tried to make a meal out of some other recurring characters such as the duckling (think the 'flying south' episode), the canary and the goldfish! Tom also gets into trouble with some other recurring characters such as Spike (who usually thrashes Tom for even getting near his son Tyke), and his mistress, Mammy Two Shoes, who throws him out of the house when he makes trouble and then yells out for him when she sees a mouse!
Other charcters:
Butch and his two pals - As the name suggests, the 'manly' cat in the block, who's stiff competition for Tom with the ladies! Has a couple of other cats as his entourage. Teams up with Tom in some episodes to try and catch Jerry.
Nibbles - Little, orphan mouse who Jerry looks after in some episodes. Has a huge appetite and forgets the fact that there's a cat around the house!
Toodles - Tom's supposed girlfriend! Appears in quite a few episodes.

The Adventures of Tintin
The series that came out in 1991, not to be confused with the pre-1962 series adaptation. Although this series came out later, it was more true to the actual Herge books. There were slight changes made to the story due to their aim to appeal to a young audience. However, the essence of the characters was retained.Characters:
Tintin - Globetrotting reporter with a flair for danger and always on the lookout for a juicy story
Captain Archibald Haddock - Highly experienced sailor and Tintin's best friend. Loves to kick back and enjoy a swig of his large Loch Lomond stash! Constantly gets people calling him instead of Cutts the local butcher as their numbers get mixed up!
Snowy - Tintin's faithful fox-terrier. A loyal travel companion who has saved Tintin on many occasions.
Professor Cuthbert Calculus - Absent minded and hard of hearing, but has enough intelligence to last from here to the moon twice! Can really flip his lid if annoyed (flashback to the Destination Moon episode - chases Haddock around for saying that he was 'acting the goat'!)
Thomson and Thompson - Two clumsy detectives who always attempt to go undercover with disastrous results. Each look alike to a tee, bowler hats and all. Only the shape of their moustache tells them apart! Exhibit frequent side effects due to ingesting a serum called 'Formula Fourteen' in the episode 'Land of Black Gold'.
Bianca Castafiore - Had an appallingly loud voice and always aggravates Captain Haddock. Very talkative and always accompanied by her main Irma and pianist Igor Wagner.
Other recurring characters:
Nestor - Captain Haddock's butler
General Alcazar - South American revolutionary
Jolyon Wagg - Insurance salesman, Rock Bottom Insurance Company
Dr. J.W. Müller - Evil German doctor
Rastapopoulos - Criminal mastermind
