My Top 10 Places To Look For Help at Squidoo
My journey into the "Online World", began as I was searching for ways to show people what I do. I am an artist, a very unknown one. I will admit it was challenging for me. I had no idea where to start. After researching, I found Imagekind. I opened a "Free Account" there. They were my first stop in my new journey. Not long after I discovered Zazzle, and opened my second site there.
People that did know me kept suggesting that I start my own website. I stumbled upon Freewebs and signed up with them. After reading quite a bit, I made a site that I felt would help me tell the world who I was and allow me to point them to other places they could find my art.
One morning, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that LaraineRose had given me a great honor and she was showing one of my paintings on her Squidoo lens, Staycation -- Everyone Should Try One . I was thrilled and intrigued by Squidoo. This was the first time I had heard of it. I found myself visiting all of her lenses and branching out to look at many others. After spending many hours looking at as many as time would allow, I decided that maybe I could write Squidoo lenses, too. So began my journey
Below you will find my personal Top 10 Favorite places to help me with my adventure on the Internet. I hope that if you are new to Squidoo they will be helpful for you. There are many talented, knowledgeable people here to learn from.
I knew I wanted to write quality lenses. I wanted to be able to add color and change fonts. I wanted my lenses to be easily found. I wanted them to show up in search engines. I wanted to be able to link to them from my other sites.
I didn't know anything about "code". I had to learn what modules were and the best ones for me. Simply stated, I was lost but determined. I began reading, a lot. The lenses I have posted on this lens is where I found valuable information to help me. I hope they will help you also. Thank you to all of the wonderful people here that help those of us that are just beginning, we do appreciate you and we realize that it isn't as easy as you make it look.
Happy Squidooing!
