2. Samsung LN46A650 46" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with RED Touch of Color 

The ratings on this product for the most part are rave. The picture quality as well as the lightness and ease of placement were the highlights. There was a bug mentioned initially with the TV randomly shutting off, but apparently the problem has been corrected with a firmware release by Samsung. Specific instructions on installing the firmware are given right on the Amazon site product page. (It also mentions that not all TV's are experiencing this problem, and only to install the firmware if it occurs.)

This one might be coming in at #7 due to the higher price (larger TV - 52") because it sure isn't lacking in quality and ratings.

The reviews for this TV are great for the most part, there was one very unhappy customer who had a bad experience with the Samsung customer service. Overall there were raves (4 1/2 stars average), including a "spectacular picture", long-lasting quality performance and it's capability to work with other components/peripherals.

There were also raves about Amazon's customer service and delivery time.

Great Reviews! 5 star average rating, mainly about the picture quality and it's flexibility with peripheral components. Statements like "A++++++" are given and owners seem to be pretty excited about the value and the bargain that they got with the purchase.

The only issue that I see that received a real complaint was with the speakers being up and inside the TV, but there is also info provided on adjustment of sound to bring it to perfect quality.

The only complaint that I found was rather minor, about an "annoying" blue light below the screen, but found that there are actually instructions on how to turn that light off on page 67 of the User's Manual for the TV. Is it safe to purchase a TV Online?

Understandably, making a purchase such as an HDTV requires research and there are concerns that might not be involved with making other types of purchases online due to the amount of money invested.
