What's so great about Big Fish?

Sorry that this is advertised as the Top 50, because it is actually the Top 40. I couldn't decide on ten more games that I liked enough to write about!

I have been a big fan of casual games for a long time, and spend a lot of my time playing them.

My favourite casual gaming website is Big Fish Games, by far. They provide a free one hour trial for every game, so you can be absolutely sure that you like the game before you download it.

The games also only cost $6.99, and you can pay with Paypal, which means you can download and play the game as soon as you have bought it.

Of course you don't have to download the game at all, you could just play for the hour, and then move onto another game.

So I hope you enjoy the list! If you think you might enjoy any of the games, then just follow the links to get your free trial!

40. Pretty In Pink 

Pretty In Pink is a hidden object style game set in the 1980's. The story follows Andie, Duckie and Blaine through a whirlwind love triangle. The aim of the game is to find missing objects throughout locations from the famous film to complete parts of the story.

The game is a great piece of memorobilia for any Pretty In Pink fan, and is really entertaining. It encourages a keen eye and is very satisfying when you've finally found that one last annoying missing object!

39. Hidden Mysteries - Civil War 

Hidden Mysteries - Civil War is a great game where you play the General Walker. Your job is to search battlefields for clues and letters left by members of a secret society. Over 20 levels, these clues will lead you to millions of dollars in gold.

This game is a must have for any clue hunter, or anyone who loves mysteries. The game is very user-friendly and incorporates believable and lovable characters as you progress through the levels. This is a game that you will really want to complete, as it contains a great grand finale!

38. Sinking Island 

Sinking Island is a murder mystery game about the case of billionaire, Walter Jones. Walter Jones' plan was to open up a resort for the rich and famous, but was killed before the project could be completed. Your job is to interview various people who were invloved to discover clues about who the murderer is.

Sinking Island is a very popular and addictive game. Once you start it, you won't be able to stop until you know who the murderer is. The storyline is great and the characters are very creative.

37. My Tribe 

My Tribe gives you the opportunity to create your very own paradise island for your tribe to live on. The tribe will start to grow over time, as they develop skills and start families. Help the tribe uncover mysterious secrets, unclock new technologies, build new structures and gradually explore new islands.

The amazing thing about this game is that it is played in real-time. This means that while you aren't playing the game, the tribe continues to grow and progress through life. Make sure you check in regularly though, because you wouldn't want everything to go to pot.

36. CSI: NY - The Game ® 

CSI: NY - The Game ® is a hidden object game based on the popular TV show CSI: NY®. The story follows two detectives, Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera through their work, cracking some of the most bizarre cases ever seen. You must investigate crime scenes and interogate suspects to find out the truth.

This game is a great time waster for anyone, and if you're a CSI fan it's an added bonus. It keeps the player focused and interested and takes some strange twists and turns through the unusual cases.

35. Diamon Jones: Amulet of the World 

Diamon Jones: Amulet of the World is an adventure game based on ancient Egypt. In it, you play Diamon Jones whose dream is to become a rich and famous hero by exploring Pharaoh's temples and finding incredible treasures. Travel the gobe in search of the Amulet of the World to save the world.

This is a large file game, which means the story is a lot longer than most games. However, I believe this to be a good thing as it makes for a much more interesting and lengthy plot!

34. Plan It Green 

Plan It Green is an eco-friendly time management game where you play the mayor of your hometown. Your job is to turn the nasty barren environment into a beautiful city. You can build eco-homes and apply new upgrades, as well as opening up green jobs and building an enviromentally friendly industry.

This game is really for anyone who is interested in helping the environment, but also is for those interested in learning what an eco-friendly city would be like. The game requires quite a bit of concentration and really helps develop focus.

33. Megaplex Madness: Now Playing 

Megaplex Madness: Now Playing is another time management game, but this time involving a cinema. You must buy theatres all over Movieville to make money from ticket sales and delicious snacks to make your business the most successful one in the city.

This great game provides plenty of levels and extra mini-games to keep you hungry for more. It helps build concentration skills and management skills as well as being really fun!

32. The Serpent of Isis 

The Serpent of Isis is a hidden object game that involves puzzle-solving, code-cracking and clue-finding. You play the grandchild of the man who found the infamous artwork The Serpent of Isis. Since then, the piece of art has been stolen and it is your job to find it again.

This whirlwind of a story involves your hunt for missing art aboard the Mont Palu Express after a mysterious letter gets into your hands. The game is addictive and compelling, and you will find it more difficult to leave without knowing the answer than any other game.

31. Treasure Seekers: Visions of Gold 

Treasure Seekers: Visions of Gold is yet another hidden object game. Join Nelly and Tommy on their hunt for their pirate grandmother's hidden treasure. Complete complex puzzles from all over the world and find the missing objects in the crowded scenes.

This is one of my favourite hidden object games because unlike others, there are no time limits, so if you can't find something in the scene, you can just take your time over it. The graphics in the game are great too, which is always a bonus.

30. Real Crimes: The Unicorn Killer 

Real Crimes: The Unicorn Killer is once again a hidden object game (yes, I do like them a lot). This time you play FBI Agent Jennifer Lourdes, and you have to track down the famous Unicorn Killer. The game takes you through crime scenes and interviewees to help you come to a conclustion.

This hidden object game is just like most other, just with a different case story. I've listed so many on here because they can only really be played once, and then you move on to the next one.

29. Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate 

Mystery Case Files: Madame Fate is a murder mystery where the victim herself asks you to investigate the case. That's right, the victim is Madame Fate, who has forseen her own death, but does not know of the murderer. Your job is to interview and watch all of the member of the carnival to determine the killer.

I cannot recommend this game highly enough. It won the award for the Hidden Object Game of 2007, which is impressive seeing how many there are. The case is interesting and captivating and keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.

28. Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst 

Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst is another in the Mystery Case Files hidden object series. In this edition, the player must find the missing pages of a diary to unravel the disturbing secret of Ravenhearst Manor and end the rumors for good.

This game is just as good quality as the last and really worth buying the full version. I cannot stress enough how annoying it is to play the trial version, and then for it to cut out after an hour without you solving the mystery. It drives you mad. Honestly.

27. Azada: Ancient Magic 

Azada: Ancient Magic is a fantastic adventure game. You must work with a boy called Titus to disarm a magical menance, through puzzle-solving and conundrums. You must then enter 20 different magical storybooks to solve the puzzles for famous characters.

This game really takes you back to your childhood, using characters such as King Arthur, Rapunzel and Henry Jekyll. It does well to entwine old fables and stories with new ideas and concepts. I wold really recommend this game to all fairytale lovers!

26. Hidden Expedition: Amazon 

Hidden Expedition: Amazon is an adventure game involving the hunt for a missing professor in the Amazon. You must explore cities, temples and ruins to discover the secret of the professor and the missing ancient civilization.

This amazing game really is something special. It includes many puzzles and conundrums as well as searching for missing clues. Although not the nbest adventure game I've planned, it is still pretty entertaining.

25. Asami's Sushi Shop 

Asami's Sushi Shop is a great new puzzle game about a girl called Asami. You must help her master the art of sushi making. The aim of the game is to get three of the same type of sushi in a row within the game grid.

This game is very addictive and very challenging. The early levels are quite easy, but as you get further up the levels, the number of types of sushi increases and the timer seems to go faster. Although, that could just be me being rubbish!

24. Liong: The Lost Amulets 

Liong: The Lost Amulets is a hidden object game about finding five lost amulets. Supposedly, these amulets contain hold the five natural elements in balance, and so your job is to find these lost amulets and restore them to their place.

This game combines both hidden object puzzles and tile-matching puzzles to keep you amused. Although it's not as addictive as other games, it is very satisfying when you complete a level.

23. Winemaker 

Winemaker is a strategy adventure game where you play Maria Bellaventura. After inheriting an Italian winery. Your job is to transform the small rural winery into a worldwide empire!

In this game you must complete many puzzles and match games to be able to grow your empire. You have to collect reciepes and can even design your own logo!
This is a great game for anyone who enjoys puzzles!!

22. The Hidden Object Show Combo Pack 

The Hidden Object Show Combo Pack is a great and very unique game. In it, you become a contestant on a game show where you msut try to win as much money as you can. Play addictive mini-games and work your way towards the grand prize!

I found this game really fun. It's one of the very rare casual games that you can play more than once. I love to challenge myself by playing the game again, and trying to beat my previous winnings. The game show host is funny and keeps you entertained throughout.

21. Riddle of the Sphinx 

Riddle of the Sphinx is an amazing puzzle game where you have to solve the Riddle of the Sphinx. You must solve ancient puzzles and logic problems and then scour old tombs to find clues.

I loved this game because it's not only fun, but it's also educational. You also have unlimited exploration ability, which makes you feel much more in control of the game and the way the story moves.

20. Mystic Emporium 

Mystic Emporium is game time management game where you must take over an old magic shop and turn it into the most productive business in your town. To do this, you must make potions and keep your customers happy. You can unlock new potions as you go along and even have a pet phoenix!

This is a fun game that is for any fantasy fan. It helps you keep your cool when under pressure. The only flaw I could find with it is that the graphics could have been a little better.

19. Sherlock Holmes - The Secret of the Silver Earring 

Sherlock Holmes - The Secret of the Silver Earring is another murder mystery game where you must examine scenes, find clues and piece them together to find the master criminal in a 19th century setting.

This game is a nice dedication to the Sherlock Holmes books and even includes Dr. Watson as a character. It's a must-have for any traditional murder-mystery fan or any newcomer to the genre!

18. Samantha Swift and the Golden Touch 

Samantha Swift and the Golden Touch is a brand new hidden object game. The game starts with the goal of recovering the Scroll of Wealth, once owned by Alexander the Great, but then turns into a quest to stop magical powers falling into the wrong hands.

The game is a pretty simple hidden object game, where really, the only thing you can do is find hidden objects. This game is definately more simple than most but that in a way makes it more entertaining an definately easier to play for children and teens.

17. The Hardy Boys - The Perfect Crime 

The Hardy Boys - The Perfect Crime is a detective game where you must help the Hardys solve the crimes that keep occuring in their town of Bayport. You must discover clues and piece them together through minigames and puzzles.

This is mainly a hidden object game, where you have to literally find the clues in the game. So it's a little bit like a wordsearch but for pictures or a Where's Wally or Where's Waldo. There are also 50 different levels, so you will have hours of playing fun!

16. Laura Jones and the Secret Legacy of Nikola Tesla 

Laura Jones and the Secret Legacy of Nikola Tesla is a great hidden object game where you have to help the adventurer Laura Jones and her grandmother discover Nikola Tesla's greatest invention. You must solve puzzles and collect parts needed to create the secret invention.

The aim of this game is to find all the hidden parts for the invention. The game is pretty straight forward, but is nevertheless enjoyable.

15. Jessica's Cupcake Cafe 

Jessica's Cupcake Cafe is a game about a girl called Jessica whose wish is to transform her aunt's failing bakery into a success. Your job is to help Jessica do so by creating new reciepes, bringing in new customers and more money and opening new shops.

This game is a great game for budding young chefs. It helps to develop time management and co-ordination skills while having fun! Jessica's Cupcake Cafe is a very popular game and has received fantastic reviews.

14. Flower Paradise 

Flower Paradise is really fun puzzle game. The aim of the game is to complete different flower puzzles to be able to turn a patch of dirt into a gorgeous garden! You have the ability to customize your garden with flowers, plants, animals and statues.

I think that the best bit about this game is that when you finish making your garden, you can turn it into a wallpaper or screensaver for your desktop! Gimmicks aside, the game is fun to play and is very addictive!

13. Trial of the Gods: Ariadne's Fate 

Trial of the Gods: Ariadne's Fate is a fantastic game where you have to help a prince rescue a princess. You must complete jigsaw puzzles and slay creatures to be able to make it to the end of the Path of Pearls to find the princess.

This is your basic match 3 game where you have to link three different items in a row to be able to delete them from the grid and earn points. Once again, a very simple but effective game.

12. Dream Chronicles 

Dream Chronicles is a hidden object game where you have to help Faye find her missing husband and relieve her town of a sleeping spell. There are 32 levels and 18 chapters to play through as weel as 115 pieces to find.

This game won the 2nd Runner-Up Best Puzzle Game of 2007 award for Big Fish Games and really is one of the best when it comes to hidden object games.

11. Wandering Willows 

Wandering Willows is a really cool adventure game that's all about pets! You must make friends with them and train them and choose the right ones to help you on your quests. You can garden and bake and create new things with the treasures that your pet find for you.

This game is really for all those animal lovers among us. I like that fact that every now and then you find a pet egg, as I'm a bit of a softie. I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone with a hard heart!

10. 3 Cards to Midnight 

3 Cards to Midnight is a hidden object game where you must help Jess Silloway bring back her lost memory through tarot cards. You must find clues in scenes by spotting them and you must solve puzzles along the way.

At the beginning of this game, I almost stopped playing because it was so simple, but I stuck with it and as it progressed it got pleasantly harder. I would recommend this game to anyone who has patience to be a bit bored at the beginning and more entertained towards the end.

9. Plants vs. Zombies 

Plants vs. Zombies is an action/arcade game where you must defend your home from attacking zombies with your trusty army of plants. This game really is a think fast game, when time control really matters.

This is a hilarious game, with really funny graphics and a funny concept. It's quite a cutesy and simple idea and although the game doesn't transform much, it does become more complex as it goes along.

8. Youda Marina 

Youda Marina is another time management game which I love. You have to design a marina and manage it efficeintly as customers come and go. Make lots of money and you will succeed!

I really love the Youda series. Personally, my favourite is the Youda Camper game, but Youda Marina is newer, so I thought I would tell you about that. It is very addictive and fun and I loved playing it. Twice.

7. 3 Days: Zoo Mystery 

3 Days: Zoo Mystery is a hidden object game where five the zoo's most special animals have been stolen! You are given three days to uncover the location of these animals and get them back to the zoo before the inspector comes to visit.

This is a great game, especially for any animal lovers. You need a very keen eye, as some of these scenes are hard to cover, but I would highly recommend it anyway.

6. Supermarket Management 

Supermarket Management is a game about a counter girl called Kate who works at her local supermarket. Your job is to guide her through her work by serving customers, upgrading the store, hiring co-workers and opening new stores until she reaches the top of the chain.

The game runs very smoothly, and really catches your attention. It's also very difficult to stop playing once you have started! It has a good number of levels, and difficultly progresses nicely with the game.

5. Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe 

Ye Olde Sandwich Shoppe is a fantastic time management game where you have to help Elise run her own sandwich shop. You can buy upgrades and new ingredients to grow your shop and earn more customers.

This is one of my favourite time management games, as food is always motivation. It's fun to find more sandwich reciepes. But honestly, the main downside is that it never fails to make me hungry!

4. Virtual Families 

Virtual Families is a great strategy game that is also a family simulation game. It's very like the Sims, but a much smaller and simple game, maybe for younger players or those who don't have the space on their computer for a game as big as the Sims.

You start by adopting a charcater and playing through their life with careers, houses and family members. It really is an interesting game and has plenty of scope for my different characters. You decide everything!

3. Spa Mania 

Spa Mania is a time management game where you help Jade create her own spa to combat animal testing in the cosmetic industry. Give customers the best time you possibly can and you can earn upgrades and eventually become the best spa around!

This game is my third favourite game because it is fun and girly and cool. It's nice to have the challenge of being against the clock as well as giving people facials!

2. Build-a-lot 3: Passport to Europe 

Build-a-lot 3: Passport to Europe is a great time management that is all about real estate. Your job is to travel around Europe restoring homes to their original condition, or even improve them. As you improve, you will achieve upgrades and work to become the best developer around!

This game earns my runner-up spot as I have enjoyed all three games in this series. They are each unique, and they just keep getting better with each new release. I would recommend them to anyone. This game also won the Best Time Management Game of 2008 award from Big Fish.

Be Rich is the winner of my Top 40 Casual Games from Big Fish Games!

Be Rich is a time management game that again, involves real estate. In it, you are the CEO of a big real estate firm, and you must do your best to develop undeveloped areas and bring new businesses to the area.

This is a great game because the stories are good, it is fun to play and it really takes strategy to play. I have played this game four times now, and really enjoy trying to beat my previous value. I would recommend this game to anyone in the world with a computer!!
