What are the best hospitals in America?
The U.S News and World Report released their 2010-2011 rankings of the best hospitals in the United States. This honor roll results from the evaluation of an impressive list of thousands of hospitals throughout the country. Please keep in mind that while the hospitals are numerically ranked, some are better in certain specialties than others. The different hospitals may also provide a unique set of skills and services that may cater to an individual patient's needs more than those at a "higher-ranked" hospital.
We provide contact information and social media tools used by the individual hospitals.

#1 The Johns Hopkins Hospital
Baltimore, Maryland
For the 21st consecutive year, the Johns Hopkins Hospital has earned the top rank among the best hospitals in the United States, according to the U.S. News & World Report. It is also informally viewed as one of the best hospitals in the world. The hospital is the birthplace of many traditions in modern medicine, such as residency training, "rounds" (visiting each patient and teaching at the bedside), and a number of medical specialties, such as endocrinology, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery, pediatrics, child psychiatry, and urology.

#3 Mayo Clinic
Rochester, Minnesota

Similar to the Mayo Clinic, the Cleveland Clinic physicians are salaried, which means that their income is not directly related to the number of patients seen or procedures performed. - I am glad to hear that Flagstaff has an excellent choice of a hospital. I agree that there are many excellent hospitals throughout the United States, but unfortunately I could only list a select few. While the above hospitals are considered the "best" by US News & World Report, the ideal hospital for you or me may be elsewhere. Although I work at one of the hospitals above (and even if I did not work there), I purposely chose a different hospital to have my son delivered.

- I hope not to have to visit any of them, but the lens is nicely done. :) I know it's not on the list, but the hospital here in Flagstaff (FMC) is, in my opinion, an excellent hospital. I say that based on my family's experiences there and those of friends. FMC serves pretty much all of Northern Arizona.
