Exercise Treadmill reviews : Bowflex Series 7

Exercise treadmill reviews by Amazon.com's customers

Great treadmill, quiet and sturdy! : M. LaMore
This is a great treadmill. The shipping was really fast, I received it in less than a week from ordering. The only problem was that the treadmill is really heavy and it took two men to get it up the stairs into my house.
The motor is really quiet and the treadmill has great shock absorbers. It's in an upstairs room and when I run no one can even hear me downstairs, which is great. It's a little pricey, but it's worth the money considering it's such a high quality treadmill.

Wonderful treadmill for home use : M. Arroyo
I am rating this as a home-use treadmill, not a professional one found at most membership gyms. I am very happy with this treadmill. My husband and I recently moved to a rural area (no gym within site for at least 50 miles) and he wasn't crazy about me walking outside in the dark as the days shortened, what with loose dogs and crazy drivers, but that's another story! Anyway, my husband found this treadmill at a Costco for $1,000.00 and asked me about it and we went and bought it that weekend. He had it set up within an hour with a little help from me.

I think it is very solid and quiet considering that it isn't my dream professional treadmill by Star Trac which runs about $5,000. I walk, run, sprint, and do incline with no problems. I even rolled it into the living room across thick carpet to watch TV during a workout and only had a bit of trouble getting it back because I had to pull it and there are no handles to use. I also don't mind the button layout as I just use the up/down arrow buttons and don't worry about the double-duty enter/cool-down button on the right side. The fan is okay, wish it was a bit stronger. I also love the part of the display that shows how far around you are on a 1/4 mile track. Maybe it's silly, but this really motivates me!

We don't have children, but there are many way to ensure that they don't accidentally turn it on and get hurt. There of course is the power cord which can simply be unplugged from the wall or the treadmill itself. There's a power switch at the bottom in front which has to be on for the power button on the display to work. And there is the kill switch/cord that IMMEDIATELY turns the treadmill off when pulled out or disables the treadmill when out. I think it was mentioned in a previous review that this cord can simply be pulled out and hidden away, there is no way to use the treadmill without it.

Dont hesitate Treadmill is all they say and more : Electric Z
I will not go into any detailed operation description. Its great and all they say.

The cost was $1,389 along with free shipping. On the truckers bill of lading the shipping cost $345 so it was a deal. On the Boxflex site it was $300 more plus shipping.

Consumer reports rates this model with their highest rating and recommended over all the others in its price range for good reason. It is built like a brick wall and after using it daily for over two weeks it performs like it should.

The box was about 7 foot long and about 300 pounds. The treadmill needed to go into an upstairs rec room. There were two corners in the stairs so getting it up there wasn't something I was looking forward to since I'm 56 and not as strong as I was back in my twenties. With my wifes help we lifted, pushed and pulled and got it up the stairs around the corners, step by step without damage to ourselves, the stairs and walls and the Bowflex.

I was very impressed on how easily it assembled. Clear, concise assembly instructions and their assembly and operating manuals are easy to understand and of top quality. I think there were a total of 5 steps. Everything fit fine. You cannot mess up.

If you can turn a screw driver and tell the difference between a hex head bolt and a Phillips head bolt you can do it. Besides there are pictures if your not sure. They include the wrenches and a screw driver in the box. All the pieces that are on the right side are marked so locating where they go is a snap.

    Recommendations:
Use your own screw drive and Allen (metric) wrenches. The included tools work fine but using your own makes assembly even easier and quicker.

All the pieces on the right are marked. Put the words "right" next or across from each other and the thing almost assembles itself.

Marry a strong stout woman or man if you plan on moving it very far and there are no guys or gals around. Unless you are Charles or Charlene Atlas, this thing is heavy and cumbersome to move around in the box. It is still heavy and difficult to move out unassembled of the box, that is until your on a flat surface and its assembled where you can use the wheels on the unit.

Going up stairs is tough and you cannot do it assembled.

Would I buy again? YES it is a quality piece of gym equipment designed to last.
