Ranked #2,676 in Tech & Geek, #63,539 overall

When it comes to purchasing a new PDA it is important to know what you want from the device. When you got this clear then its time to go out and look for the one that suits your needs. This is how you can avoid being dazzled by an overload of hype buzz whizz bang junk things you don't need.

This lens is meant to be a helpful resource by showing an hourly updated list of the 10 top rated pda's and handhelds.

The Peek Pronto, HP iPAQ and PalmOne devices are the best selling Pda's and handhelds of this moment (end 2009). Update: at this moment, November 09 the Blackberry Tour 9630 is the top rated device.

Top Rated List: HP iPAQ 111 & 211 on the lead

New Top Rated Device

Update on the Peek Pronto being the best selling handheld pda a few weeks ago.

A while ago the Peek Pronto seemed the best buy to me. But after doing some more research I found this review:

"Nice device design, but email is slow, no true SMS."

Pros of this device are the low cost, no contract email and texting (kind of), bundled in a lightweight easy to use (though somewhat crippled) package. But the downside is that there is no way to text from a cell phone to a peak directly; the cell phone user MUST use an SMS to email gateway address if their SMS client will not permit an email address in the SMS "to" line (many permit numbers only), or send you an email.

So it's no real surprise the top rated list has a new #1. (at the moment the Peek isn't even in the top 10 anymore)
