My Top Ten Squidoo Lens Experiment

Squidoo Ranking Has Brought Me To Tiers

This is an experiment to get my first 10 lenses in the top tier payout. Top tier payout for November 2009 according to Squidoography is $13.

With 10 lenses in the top tier, the payout would be $130 a month. To be in the top tier in Squidoo your lens needs to be #1-2000 in lens ranking.

Beyond ranking, Squidoo pays out every time Amazon or an eBay item is sold from your lens. Or a link to your affiliate sites that make a sell is always a plus.

This will be an ongoing experiment. This experiment started in Mid November 2009. Official count began for the month of December 2009 to Jan. 11, 2010. Read the stats on my blog listed below.

My experiment is to get these ten lenses in the top rankings. Each week, these lenses will change according to their ranking. I need your help with this experiment. Several factors effect lens rankings.

1. Updating a lens.
2. Comments in the guestbook.
3. Rating a lens.
4. Favoring a lens.
5. Sharing a lens with other sites, blogs and email.
6. For Giant Squids, whether it is a gold or purple star.
7. Did this make Lens of the Day?
8. Quality of the work.
9. Choose your keyphases and tags wisely.
10. Pick the right URL for your lens (you will not be able to change this)

My goal is to email this to five people that I know, promote these lenses in other sites and blogs. I am asking for your support to help promote these lenses to complete the experiment. I am encouraging you to create your own experiment on lens ranking.

Earlier in 2009 Digg.com changed their policy to where new uploads could no longer be shared in a message with your friends. Tagfoot.com had evolved to where Squidoo lens sharing became limited. But still a nice bookmarking site. On Nov. 22, 2009, Squidoo ended the groups. All of these I had heavily relied on for traffic. I understand that there were spam issues involved. Never the less...it makes me cry!

Join a ning club like this one and brag about your lenses. I also belong to the RocketMoms, but that is an invite only.

Strictly for Squidoo lenses. Read some of the best lenses and get some traffic for your own.
