List building is one of the most talked about topics in the arena right now, and with good reason too.

In doing this, when it comes to making sales I know it will be a much more reasonable option to offer them valuable products, consumers vote with their credit cards so if you can keep them happy between promotions you will have no problem consistently making sales.

It is EASY for a website visitor to opt-in for a free gift, but expressing a solid interest in what you have to offer by actually making a purchase is a whole different ball game and you will find over time that it is much easier and profitable for you to sell to previous buying customers than it is to sell to freebie seekers.

This is not a slur against the people who opt-in for a freebie, it is just an honest statement about something I have found in years of marketing.

A newsletter sent at regular intervals shows you to be steady and reliable. Combine that with a good message and you have a recipe for success. You will be making money from your subscribers, so it is in yours and their best interest for you to treat your list(s) like a real business asset that needs catering for and in order for you to maintain a constant flow of profits you should be always on the lookout for plenty to offer.

If you can go above and beyond for your subscribers and always put their best interests at heart when deciding on your promotions, you will benefit greatly. It is a two way street, most people are prepared to buy from others that they know, and trust. Help your subscribers get what they want

The number one way to get the results you desire from your list of subscribers is help them get what they want from carefully selected affiliate programs, and what better way to find what they want than carrying out surveys.

Make the connection with your subscribers and encourage interaction both ways which will allow you to ask them very specific questions about how you can help them. It is most beneficial to your email marketing business if you go above and beyond the call of duty in providing for your list, go that extra step and you will be rewarded.

Right from the first e-mail you should prepare your subscribers for what they can expect from you, in a sense you are "training" them (for want of a better word). But what you do right from the start, your subscribers will come to expect from you and this will often decide your success or lack of if you make major mistakes.

Be honest, open and give them what they want. If you survey your list and the majority of them tell you what they need, you will have a good idea of what to look for when choosing which products to promote.
