Top Wii Games to Get You Moving
Though it comes standard with the purchase of a Wii console, Wii Sports does not lack substance or disappoint...
Including Baseball, Bowling, Tennis, Bowling or Boxing, there is pretty much something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Each of the games shaves its respective sport down to a few essential elements and then has you pantomiming these basic activities with the Wii Remote--and in the case of boxing, the Nunchuk as well.
If you are looking for an easy to use game that will educate you on the basics of using the Wii-mote and get you moving at the same time, Wii Sports is the game for you.
Tip: For even more realistic interactive play, pick up the Wii Grand Slam Sports Pack!
Dance Dance Revolution

There is no doubt about it, whether you are a beginner or experienced dancer, you will find Dance Dance Revolution to be a fun aerobic challenge.
Tip: While Dance Dance Revolution does come with its own dance pad, if you want to do a little competitive dancing with friends, you will need to buy additional pads. Up to 4 users can play at a time!
Wii Fit
Wii Fit takes the whole concept of games as exercise to a new level with the inclusion of a balance board peripheral that can tell you on the fly exactly how well--or how poorly--you're doing with its various activities as well as how you are progressing.
To start, Wii Fit uses the entered height and the reading it takes from the board and calculates your Body Mass Index (BMI), a statistical metric of your weight based on your height.
Wii Fit features five main areas: yoga, muscle training, aerobic exercise, balance games, and favorites (the 10 most played exercises). Yoga and muscle training have a total of 15 different exercises complete with sterilely drawn animated instructions from your choice of a male or female trainer. Aerobic exercise and balance games each have a total of nine activities. Wii Fit keeps track of the minutes spent in any activity in a bank, and you unlock new poses, exercises, and games as the stored time increases.
Aerobic exercises make heavy use of Miis. Hula hooping challenges you to the get the most rotations in a fixed time limit, and leaning to catch extra hula hoops adds a score multiplier. Rhythm-based step aerobics will have you stepping off and on the board from the back and side in time with the music. Jogging doesn't use the board at all; just place the Wii Remote in your pocket (or leave it in your hand) and jog in place to follow a pacing character through a colorful park filled with Miis, some of which jog beside you, jog in the opposite direction, or wave encouragingly from just off the path.
Balance games, include the marble drop, soccer ball challenge, ski jump, slalom, and tightrope walk.

Top Action/Adventure Wii Games
I don't care who you are, you have to get excited when a new game featuring classic characters such as the Super Mario Brothers is released!
Super Mario Galaxy has tons of appeal for both the less experienced player and the longtime gamer. It has a great storyline that is easy to follow and a gravity and physics defying gameplay that keeps you wondering what will happen next.
The storyline for Mario Galaxy begins in fairly well-worn territory. Mario receives a note from his beloved Peach to come to the castle, for she has a special "gift" for him. He arrives, only to walk straight into chaos as Bowser and son arrive in a fleet of airships and use a giant UFO to pluck the Princess' castle right out of the ground. Mario gives chase with the help of the Lumas (Star people) and their leading lady Rosalina.
Mario travels the universe to recover as many power stars as he can from Bowser's in order to power the Rosalina's ship back up, fly to the center of the universe, rescue the princess, and set everything right again.

Super Mario Galaxy Official Game Guide:

Tip: Though this game is great for new gamers or experienced alike, there are situations in the game which anyone would find pragmatic. If you are the type that might get frustrated easily by not being able to figure out the next step you should take on your own, then you might find this guide to be a great resource. Plus, it's an official Collector's Item!

Lego Indiana Jones:
The Original Adventures

Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures allows players to reenact the adventures from the first 3 movies.
Much like the Lego Star Wars games, it is puzzle based, but with a bit more humor added to the storyline and a bit smooter game play.
The jist of the game is that players must use their brain power to figure out how to jump over pits and build their way to victory while encountering silly obstacles (TIP: Check out what happens when Indy encouters a snake :) ) and battling bad guys.
All in all, this game is mind boggling, fun, funny and kid friendly (if that's what you are looking for).
Resident Evil 4
Though this is a remake of a game already available on GameCube, Playstation and even PC, it's worth giving a whirl on Wii as well.
As the premise of the game, you play as Leon S. Kennedy, a secret agent in charge of recovering the president's kidnapped daughter.
Your search leads to a creepy Spanish village whose residents are, well, not quite lucid. The story is genuinely creepy, leading you through abandoned farmhouses, dank churches, and dripping caves, all the while throwing progressively weirder and stronger enemies at you. The game also includes a side story called Separate Ways, where you take control of spy Ada Wong and explore some of the same storyline from her perspective.
If you like on-the-edge-of-your-seat action and a pulse jumping semi-horrific storyline, this is your game.
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic the Hedgehog returns! Sonic Unleashed brings back the traditional Sonic the Hedgehog style gameplay with the corkscrews and loops. The only difference is that a new side of Sonic is unleashed- the Werehog!
From "day" to "night" the gameplay changes as our hero does making it ultra-exciting and fun!

Boom Blox is the brainchild of entertainment mogul Steven Spielberg. It combines real life physics-based puzzle scenarios with a fun and quirky community of characters centered around the basic shape of the block.
In this game players can look forward to a fast-paced gameplay blending the simplicity of the wildly popular block game Jenga and the crazy complexity of a Rube Goldberg machine--devices that although performing very simple tasks are designed to do it by the most complicated means possible.
BOOM BLOX features over three hundred levels, 3 types of gameplay (single player, co-op, and versus) and an easy-to-use in-game editor that allows players to build thier own puzzle worlds. The fun never ends as you throw baseballs, blast lasers, save wacky animal characters, explore cool worlds and more!
