Squidoo Versus HubPages

I started with Squidoo but have switched primarily to HubPages. Visit Top 10 Reasons to Switch from Squidoo to HubPages to see why. Yet, there are valid and logical reasons for continuing to use Squidoo for specific content.

Top 10 Reasons for Continuing to Publish on Squidoo

  1. You want to heavily promote products
HubPages may flag a hub as overly promotional for several reasons. The key one that affects many people is linking to any one personal domain more than twice. Refer to HubPages Getting Started.
  2. Squidoo lensmasters are the primary audience for this topic
You gotta drop your worm where the fish are. You'll reach more Squidoo lensmasters on Squidoo than anyplace else.
  3. You need to build an interactive web page using Plexos
In this case, consider putting the static content on HubPages and the Plexos on Squidoo. For an example, visit Top Ten Wines in Temecula on HubPages and Squidoo.
  4. You have lots of fans on Squidoo which generate good traffic to existing and new lenses
Even if this is true you need to ask yourself whether you could quickly start to generate 5 times more traffic on HubPages.
  5. Your topic is of an adult nature
    Enough said.
  6. You're comfortable with Squidoo
Change can be difficult and stressful for many people.
  7. You make good money from Trickster Marketing
You may not be the favorite person on the block but you're driving around it in style due to Trickster Marketing.
  8. You're related to or a family friend of Seth Godin and younger
If there's a chance that you're in Seth's Will and likely to outlive him, you've got a vested interest in Squidoo.
  9. You donate most of your Squidoo earnings to charity
    Squidoo makes this easy.
  10. You want Squidoo to act as a middleman to Amazon, CafePress, eBay, Netflix, and Orbitz!
This saves time and might even earn you more money. As a new Amazon Associate I receive 4% for every direct referral until I get to the next level. In comparison, I get half of Squidoo's 10% referral which is 5%.

I like and use both depending on what I want to write about and how I want to set it out. I don't think either is better than the other and I tend to go through phases of favouring one then switching back again.

There is pro and cons. Are they perfect? No. But whatever site you use either Squidoo or hubpages, There is certain rule we need to follow. Follow your heart where you think you can creates or contributes more. Either one are not the same b'coz if both the same, it will be monotonous and life will be getting boring and lifeless.

Squidoo is more flexible with html, number and type of links, and a larger variety of modules.

I don't agree with you I came to Squidoo after using Hubpages, and I was shocked to know that I have to backlink to my lens and promote it else where to get it indexed or ranked and sometimes it will never do, Hubs are indexed in less than 24 hours
