The following is an episode list for the science fiction drama television series Torchwood.
Torchwood is a British science fiction drama television programme, created by Russell T Davies and starring John Barrowman and Eve Myles. It deals with the machinations and activities of the Cardiff branch of the fictional Torchwood Institute, who deal mainly with incidents involving extraterrestrials. An initial 13-part series was commissioned by the BBC as a spin-off from the 2005 revival of the long-running science fiction programme Doctor Who. (read more)

Season 1
The following is an episode list for the science fiction drama television series Torchwood to date.
- 1x01 Everything Changes
- When Torchwood arrives on the scene of a brutal murder, WPC Gwen Cooper's burning curiosity is challenged. Their attitude, their approach and their technology is at odds with everything she believes in. But investigating the investigators leads her into a dark, paranoid world she never imagined existed.
- 1x02 Day One
- Gwen's first day on the job sees Cardiff's nightlife at the mercy of an alien who consumes its victims during orgasm leaving behind dust. Torchwood tracks the alien to a sperm bank, but too late for the patrons within. Gwen tricks it into leaving its host and captures it within a portable cell, where it peters out, itself turning to dust.
- 1x03 Ghost Machine
- When Gwen retrieves an alien object from a fleeing hoodie, she's haunted by a vision of a lonely young boy. As the team tracks down the object's owner, the elusive Bernie Harries, Owen experiences an even more terrifying vision and a long-buried crime resurfaces.
- 1x04 Cyberwoman
- Ianto has a dark secret, tied to the basement of the Hub - a secret he will protect at any cost.
- 1x05 Small Worlds
- Jack encounters monsters from his past: Fairies with the ability to choke people and change the weather, make a series of killings centered around a little girl, the choson one.
- 1x06 Countrycide
- Concerned that the space-time rift is spreading, Torchwood investigate a series of gruesome deaths in the Brecon Beacons village of Brynblaidd. What sort of creature could cause such shocking injuries? Stranded without communications or equipment and isolated from one another, the team confront a terrifying enemy.
- 1x07 Greeks Bearing Gifts
- Faced with sudden telepathic abilities, Toshiko finds a mixed blessing when the dark secrets of others are revealed to her. A murderous telepathic alien seeking return home is defeated.
- 1x08 They Keep Killing Suzie
- Torchwood is linked to a series of brutal murders around the city. As Jack and the team investigate further, it becomes clear somebody wants their attention. What is Pilgrim - and how is it connected to a figure from Torchwood's past? The resurrection days are far from over.
- 1x09 Random Shoes
- A hit-and-run victim (Eugene), obsessed with aliens while alive, realises only one person can solve the mystery of his death: Gwen Cooper.
- 1x10 Out of Time
- A plane from the 1950s lands in modern Cardiff, courtesy of the Rift; the passengers are reoriented by the Torchwood team, who become drawn closely to their lives.
- 1x11 Combat
- Weevils are being abducted by humans. As Owen goes undercover to find out who is committing these crimes, he meets Mark Lynch. Owen gets sucked into the fightclub-like subculture of which Lynch is a part. Owen is shown to have no fear of death, though he is rescued by Jack.
- 1x12 Captain Jack Harkness
- Jack and Toshiko are transported back to the Blitz, while Owen tries to open the Rift, as Jack faces an unexpected secret from his past as they meet a handsome young American squadron leader named%u2026 Captain Jack Harkness.
- 1x13 End of Days
- The Rift fractures violently, setting the stage for an epic battle with Torchwood in the middle as they see echoes and visions of the past.
Season 2
- 2x01 Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang
- Captain John, an old friend of Jack Harkness, appears through the rift and causes problems for the Torchwood team.
- 2x02 Sleeper
- A burglary turns into a slaughter, and Torchwood suspect alien involvement. The investigation escalates into a city-wide assault, and Captain Jack realises that the whole planet is in danger.
- 2x03 To the Last Man
- An old hospital haunted by ghosts causes a crisis for the Torchwood team. Time zones are colliding, but will Torchwood be able to stop Cardiff being destroyed?
- 2x04 Meat
- Gwen's fiancé, Rhys, discovers the truth about Torchwood and becomes part of the team as they investigate a mysterious alien-meat supply. Will Rhys go too far? And can Torchwood save the alien from being used as cheap meat?
- 2x05 Adam
- Adam has been a member of the team for ages, at least that's what everyone remembers. Adam changes Owen to be less cynical, creates memories for Tosh, memories for Gwen are rewritten. Adam 'helps' Jack to remember vital memories from his past before forcing him to loose them once more.
- 2x06 Reset
- Martha Jones arrives at Torchwood after reports of numerous deaths. A pharmasist has been injecting workers with Mayflies, the Mayflies cure all ilnesses before killing the patient and Martha Jones has got one...
- 2x07 Dead Man Walking
- Owen has died. Jack decides to return him to life for a few minutes. But no one could have guessed what will happen as a consequence of this decision.
- 2x08 A Day in the Death
- Owen takes some time to chat to a suicidal woman on a rooftop, reflecting on his new circumstances, that of a man living eternal death. Will a mission with Torchwood assist in his salvation or bring about the end of the world?
- 2x09 Something Borrowed
- Gwen Cooper is about to get married to her fiancé Rhys. Only one problem on her hen night she has forgotten what happened and she is heavily pregnant with an alien shape shifters baby the next day.
- 2x10 From out of the Rain
- When an old cinema re-opens, past horrors emerge to stalk the streets of Cardiff. As bodies are found with a heart beat but no breath, Torchwood must act fast. Who are the Night Travellers? And how can Torchwood capture these mysterious breath takers?
- 2x11 Adrift
- When a local teenager disappears, Gwen is drawn into an investigation that reveals a darker side of Torchwood. Hundreds of people have disappeared without trace, but Jack is obstructing attempts to find them. The answer seems to lie in the rift - literally - and as Gwen follows the trail, she makes a shocking discovery.
- 2x12 Fragments
- A booby-trapped building explodes and knocks the Torchwood team unconscious. There are a series of flashbacks; Captain Jack was initiated into a shocked Victorian Torchwood in 1899; Toshiko went on a daring mission to trade alien technology for her mother's life; Ianto wooed Jack with coffee; and Owen lost his normal life to an alien inside his fiancée's brain.
- 2x13 Exit Wounds
- Captain Jack's younger brother Gray uses Captain John Hart to conduct attacks upon Cardiff in retribution against Jack for abandoning him as a child. The losses at Torchwood are extreme as the situation plays to a crescendo that rocks Torchwood to its core.
