The lower areas of Torres del Paine National park have a Trans-Andean climate while as you get higher, an icy climate sets on. Spring and summer are times when there are the best weather conditions for touring. On average, temperatures range from 10 to 18 degrees Celsius. Transport is mainly through private or public means. The prices for food and accommodation appear to be high but not as high compared to those of other areas in South America such as Argentina and Peru. The cost is worth the value you get. You have to remember that this is one of the least contaminated areas on the planet. The UNESCO noticed this and in 1978 made that national park a world Biospere site.
