The Total Gym
The Total Gym is manufactured to the highest quality standards and is a great value for the money. Compared to all the separate pieces of equipment you would have to buy to perform the same exercises that a Total Gym can the savings in time, space and money are incredible. As a bonus there is virtually no assembly required and it is easy to fold up and store under your bed. Try that with a BowFlex or a NordicTrak.
Total Gym Earns Endorsements
Unlike many infomercial products that are based on hype and false promises, consumers and professionals recognize Total Gym as a legitimate machine that is based on sound technology and exercise principles.
The American Council on Exercise (ACE), the nonprofit watchdog organization that regularly conducts university-based studies on the effectiveness of infomercial products and their claims, cited Total Gym in its publication ACE FitnessMatters. In 1999, an editor's note states: "(Total Gym) has largely relied on the product's merits to make the sale - not outrageous claims."

Pros: Quiet Operation, Easy Storage, Easy To Setup, Sturdy, Easy To Use, Comfortable, Strengthens
Best Uses: Strength Training, Performance Training, Low Impact Exercise, General Fitness, Heart Rate Training
Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Best thing I ever bought for myself. I began using my Total Gym XLS on January 17th, 2009. I measured myself on that day. On Feb 15th, 2009 I re-measured and found that I lost 3" around my waist and 1" around the " bra back fat" that us women hate. Not to mention I've begun to tone quite a bit. My arms are becoming nice and solid instead of jiggly. My legs and buns have also begun to tone quite nicely. I use the Total Gym 4 days a week and run 2 days. I love it! I've recommended it to everyone I know.
See the transformation!

This is the first exercise equipment I have ever purchased. I had been a very infrequent exerciser (work was my exercise)until I got the total gym. It was easy to use from the start. I started with the 6 day workout with DVD, and now I'm doing them on my own---and have increased my strength level substantially. I have been using it daily for about a month & I can see muscle definition that I haven't ever seen. I actually look forward to working out. To be able to say that I do 100 sit-ups a day is crazy! I used to not be able to do 2! I can't wait to see the future results!
