What Is a Moon Store?
A moon store is an affectionate term a seller uses when they open a store on Ecrater.com.
The term "moon store" was created when there was a mass exodus of sellers from the Ebay site due to certain unreasonable fee hikes and lack of seller support from good old Ebay.
Previous sellers on the Ebay discussion boards came to say goodbye and to let all of their friends know that they had opened a "moon store."
They had to say they went to "the moon" because there is a rule on Ebay about not mentioning non-Ebay sites on the boards. That is how the term "moon store" was born. It's code for "you can find me on Ecrater."
Many many former Ebay sellers have gone on to ecrater.com to open a store.
Having a store on Ecrater is free vs $100's of dollars a month to have a store on Ebay; that's a pretty good deal for both sellers and buyers, as items can be sold and purchased much cheaper there since there aren't any fees cutting into anyone's profits.
Ecrater.com is a pretty simple, easy to use site with not much fluff and fuss. It's a just a nice simple site to display your sales, or to shop for your merchandise. No hassle-online shopping for all.
