Spanking kids

Spanking kids can lead to serious problems

Parents who teach 'tough love' by disciplining their children with spankings could be making them more likely to have sexual problems as teenagers and adults, a leading researcher said.

Professor Murray Straus, of the University of New Hampshire, found that children who are spanked or experience other corporal punishment have a raised risk as teenagers and adults to verbally or physically coerce a partner into having sex.

What is a Lullaby?

A lullaby is a soothing song, usually sung to children before they go to sleep, but they can also be sung to insomniac teenagers and adults as well to help them sleep.

They originated in England in the late 1300s. The idea is that the song sung by a familiar and beautiful voice will lull the child to sleep. Lullabies written by established classical composers are often given the form-name berceuse, which is French for lullaby, or cradle song.

Parenting

Parenting is the process of raising and educating a child from birth until adulthood.

The term "parenting" is a derivative of the word "parent" taken as a verb. When people say "to parent" a child it means "to be a parent," or "to fulfill parental duties." Since everyone who has a child has to parent he or she has their own view on what their parental duties are. Generally, the majority of parents admit that those duties are to provide for the basic needs of a child - the child's need for security and development. This implies security and development of a child's body, mind and psyche. In other words, it is physical, intellectual, and emotional security and development.

GrandParent

Grandparents are family members, specifically, the father or mother of a person's own father or mother, being respectively grandfather and grandmother. Grandparents form an important element of the extended family.

In traditional cultures grandparents often had a direct and clear role in relation to the care and nurture of children. This has tended to be lost with the development of the nuclear family.

In traditional East Asian cultures influenced by Confucianism filial piety is one of the highest moral values. Grandparents usually exercise their authority on family matters, and their descendants should obey their seniors. This kind of structure has eased with the increasing influence of western culture and the increasing number of nuclear families.

Mother and Child CD

"Mother & Child" is a relaxing experience that will help you wind down from a busy day. Sleep Solutions

Abbie Wolf and Ari Dubin of Nashville did everything they could to get their newborn, Davi Wolf-Dubin, to sleep. They swaddled her, but then her little arms found their way out of the blankets. They relied on an infant swing, which worked like a charm-at first. "All of these things worked for a while, but Davi was quickly growing immune to all of the crutches that we used to get her to sleep," Abbie says.

As an expectant mom you've probably heard countless tales of sleepless nights. If you're lucky and have one of those babies who sleeps easily, you won't have to give it much thought. But if you're like many moms, getting your baby to sleep will take some work and a lot of patience.

Do You Want to Be a Star?

In this world there are many people who have something to say, but they don't have a venue with which to get their message out.

They may be budding, or accomplished speakers, or perhaps they are amateurs with the will to communicate a message that they feel strongly about.

Do you feel passionate about something that has the potential to help your part of the world, or even the whole wide world, if only you could let people know?

Do you have something really important to say and feel you are blocked by the frustration of finding a way to get the message to the audience? And even if you are able to get radio or TV time, those generally have a limited audience. And let's face it. In many parts of the USA and other countries of the world, radio and television reception is still limited if not completely non-existent.

Have you ever dreamed, even briefly, of being a talk show host with an audience of truly unlimited capacity? Of having the opportunity to speak on your subject without fear of someone cutting out the most important part of the message.

Do you have a passion to get your message heard in a way that will do the most good? Then perhaps you should be a podcaster.

"What is a podcaster?" you may ask.

A "podcaster" is a person with a message, who creates a program which can be posted to a website as a "click and play" audio file. Then anyone in the world who has access to the internet may either click-and-listen to the program, or they may download the program to their iPod, computer, or other mp3 format player.
Sounds easy enough, right? But, let's look at the process.

If you want to create you own podcast programming you have a couple of options. You could branch out on your own, purchase the software kits, books, and numerous other equipment and support materials, struggle through the learning curve.

Even if you are a techie-type person there are many new skills to learn and master in the process. Then once you have created your programs you will need to find a venue, a way to make your podcast available for people to locate. And then you will need to announce to your friends how to access it, and find a way t get the information out to the people who need and want to hear the message.

Yes, you could do all of this, and you could get your message heard by a limited number of people, depending on how much you work to promote your program. OR you could join the new revolution in podcasting.
