That really put this page through some changes, but it appears that the dust has settled and everything is working normally now.

Many, if not most of Amazon.com's toys are supplied by Toys"R"Us who in turn relies on Amazon.com's extensive eCommerce infrastructure to fill orders. It's a collaboration that has worked well for both companies, but one that -- barring a last-minute injunction -- will come to an end July 1st, according to the Seattle Times.
Although this lens isn't very popular in terms of traffic, it has produced some sales, and the plan was to expand it soon. Now, we're moving those plans to the "back burner" until we see if Amazon is going to have any worthwhile toy offerings left after the change takes place.
Technical Difficulties
Amazon.com is "remodelling" their online store. The changes are mostly cosmetic, but they are causing a major disruption of our "screen scraping" and feed generation.
Things should be back to normal soon, but in the meantime, we're providing links to "the jadebox store" -- an AWS shop that should work even when the feeds are flaky.

Amazon.com seems to think kids first look at what games are available for their system, then pick one. Yeah, right.
We're untangling the data to make it game first, then system but it's a big undertaking and will take some time. Meanwile, this feed may or may not be working ...

I've never quite been sure what distinguishes a blog from a regular webpage. Timeliness seems to have something to do with it, but that doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule.
Anyway, here are some of the things I've been working on lately...
