A World to Discover
There are so many children and their interests are as diverse as the number of stars in the sky. Actually, that may be slightly exaggerated but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.
Focusing on children ages 2 - 4, this lens will showcase toys children of this age group may be interested in; however, always keep in mind that age labeling on toys are only a guideline.
Are you ready to discover some new toys your child may love? Go no further!
"There's no open-mind like that of a child engaged in the art of playing."
How many children to you have?
Does the choice in toy selection seem overwhelming?
I have three children; thankfully, two of them have outgrown toys - which leaves the other one. However, he's a boy so I can explore different toys than I have in the past - and it can be very exciting. In fact, sometimes I see toys and wish I was a kid again.Wait a minute! I CAN be a kid again!
That's the wonderful thing about parenting - especially when our children are little and the greatest concern we have is whether or not their head cold will last a day or two.
The Focus on Education
I'd like to hear your views!
Education - no matter where we turn, we see products and hear advertisements with the message that we should try to educate our children as much as possible - and the younger our children are, the better off they are.
While it is a good thing to educate our children, it's important for them to experience a childhood and, if there's too much pressure placed on them at early ages, it may cause setbacks later in life.

What is your personal opinion?
I'm starting this debate because I've been around too many crying children who want their parents to buy a toy which isn't appropriate for their young ages. They see a toy and fall in love - only for Mom and Dad to read that it's only appropriate for children 5 years and older.
Should toys be created to appeal to young children even if the age labeling is for older children?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byNo, it's not fair!
Kelsey-Budden-16 says:
It ain't fair! I remember being young and seeing toys that I couldn't get! It wasn't often but it did happen. It was so unfair.
Even now, of course, I see thing differently but, still I feel for those little kids.

I never thought about it!
oztoo says:
I guess the parent should be the judge of whether it's appropriate or not.

I've never given it a lot of thought...I never read the age limitations on toys and would give them things they seemed ready to handle at their age. Also rarely wandered through toy stores with them...way to tempting...just on special occasions or when they had a money gift to spend.

"As long as you can crawl, you can have fun with a play tent."
Check out these exciting products from Amazon!
Your child will love them...and you might too!
Children often love to have tree houses; well, play tents are a great version of those for younger children. It's a place where they can go to be in control of their own universe for a while - from slaying imaginary dragons to having a tea party.

Why do I recommend play tents?
In addition to the fact that I love them myself...
They also need to occupy themselves when friends or other siblings are not available to entertain them; in a play tent, a child can play with Barbie dolls and action figurines. They can draw and color or, if parents permit, eat their favorite snack. A play tent provides so much stimulation for any child.
Of course, you can't forget these...
Balls for your Play Tent
These are bound to make things even more fun!
100 pcs Fun Ballz
Amazon Price: $19.57 (as of 12/30/2009)![]()
As long as children can be gentle, plastic balls make things very interesting. Children begin to toss balls and, before long, there are giggles coming from every direction. It is well worth the task of picking up the balls later.
No play tent is complete with a set of these plastic balls - and the greatest thing: if your play tent already comes with 100 balls, an extra 100 balls doubles the fun!

Of course, children play in so many ways...
We can't forget beloved books
Reading with our children is a blessing
We are able to snuggle into our children if a scary part pops up in the story; we also hear giggles and lots of laughter during other parts.
Of course, many times, we are able to teach our children some valuable life lessons through reading a story; they can learn the virtues of honesty and patience. They learn the benefits of sharing and caring and, in many cases, what our children learn during these impressionable times are lessons they remember for a lifetime. Of course, it also depends upon whether or not our children see us - their parents and role models - practicing the values we are trying to instill in them.

Your child is sure to love them
Videos provide another benefit to our children
They can stimulate our children's minds...or simply entertain.
I've watched everything from Barney and Friends to Dora: The Explorer and then onto Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ... and this only mentions a few of the favorite shows my children used to watch, or watch.
Of course, in terms of family videos, I cannot boast of seeing them all - there are just too many. However, I have seen my fair share - and saw many movies more than once. Sometimes there is great benefit in owning videos as opposed to always renting from a video store or viewing through a satellite dish.
Check out these children's videos!
"The most important thing, however, is that our children are happy."

- Like your selection especially the tents. Kids often create there own little hideaways like under the dining table so there own tent would be great. Nice lens.

- Wow! My oldest is 15 so I can imagine that, within another 10 years, she may be in the market for a house, too. Now THAT is something I hadn't given a lot of thought to; I've always thought of the future from the point when my children are settled with their own families - not the events leading up to that point in time. Have a nice Thanksgiving and Christmas yourself. Norma
