Pronex Pneumatic Cervical Traction Unit
The Gold Standard of Traction
Pronex Pneumatic Cervical Traction Unit- this is the gold standard of neck traction and is often used in the offices of chiropractors and other health care professionals. It is often recommended after someone has tried an over the door type of traction unit, and they had jaw pain. Someone with temporomandibular joint disease may find that the pain is worse after using and over-the-door cervical traction device. Other times, the pronex pneumatic traction unit may be recommended if someone is not able to use a chin-strap because of distortion of the neck or chin (e.g., radical neck dissection). Overall, with the pronex traction unit, one get more pounds of pressure, and therefore more traction of the neck. Also, the Pronex Traction Unit Comes in 3 different sizes: Regular, Large and Wide. What size you order, has to do with the Measurement of Neck Circumference Size. Most people are okay with the regular size:
14" - 16" neck, order the Regular
16" - 18" neck, order the Large
18" and Up neck, order the Wide

The Posture Pump Cervical Spine Trainer
The Posture Pump 1000 Cervical Traction Unit is available at Amazon
Cervical Posture Pump Spine Trainer
Amazon Price: $104.99 (as of 02/15/2012)![]()
4 out of 5 gold stars for the posture pump 1000. It accomplished neck traction comfortably at home and it is priced right on amazon.
Amazon customer Naomi Greenfield says, "From the first time I used this, as my chiropractor's office, my neck has felt better than ever. I've had chronic neck problems for more than 30 years, and this is the first thing that has made a lasting and significant difference. I notice more blood flow to my head, and I feel clearer the whole day through. I sit, stand and walk more comfortably. I feel taller. My neck is improving noticably day by day. "
Amazon customer C.Davis says, "I've had chronic neck pain for over 4 years and I'm only 23 years old. I got massages and it never helped for very long, and I started seeing a chiropractor (adjustments also did not help). My X-rays showed my neck curve to be a straight line rather than a curve.
Finally my chiropractor showed me the Posture Pump and I bought it on a whim. When I got it home, I thought, "What in the world did I buy?!" but I decided to try it anyway. WOW. It essentially cured my neck pain after a few weeks of use. I no longer get adjustments and only get a massage every month or so to stay loose.
If you have the problem I had (a straightened neck curve), you need to at least try it. It could be the cure you've been waiting for.
It is expensive but it pays for itself quickly, and being pain-free after years of agony is priceless.
Cervical Traction System with A foam Roll
Simple cervical traction lying down
Cervical Traction System with A foam Roll- this is similar to the Soothe-A-ciser traction system except it uses a foam roll under the neck. Simply fill the bag with water for a traction effect. A Neck Pillow Designed with Cervical Traction in Mind
Arc4life's Cervical Linear Traction Neck Pillow Delivers a Great Stretch at Night
Pretend that the ball (below) is your head and the rods are the soft wedges of the neck pillow. Because of the simple laws of physics, the two soft wedges create a very gentle pull by diverting the downward force of gravity to a horizontal plane (away from your shoulders, thereby relieving the pressure between the bones of your neck).
With this special neck pillow, one can sleep on their back or on their side. Off course, maximum traction is going to be acheived by sleeping on ones back. There are are two sides to this special pillow. The special "V" gives your c spine a gentle neck stretch while sleeping, and allows you to be in an ergonomic position for sleeping. The opposite side of the "V" Is called the support side of the pillow. This side is gentler, and if you have neck pain/ neck stiffness/ sensitivity- use this side first before using the traction side.
With this type of neck pillow, some people can have soreness. This is normal. Similar to when you go to the gym and use muscles that you have not used before. Start by using the pillow for just a few hours in the beginning and slowly increase the time you sleep with the pillow.
Available at Neck Pain Relief Shop > Neck Pillows > CLTraction Pillow
