BT Tradespace, a business portal with a difference, and it's free, but only for the UK

BT Tradespace is a registered name of BT, a global telecommunications company based in the UK, and is a new type of business portal. This Lens describes the benefits, how to set up your account, how to add products and links etc.

The portal is UK focused and the basic set-up is free. If you are in business, this is one of the best resources you can have to promote your company, products and services. OK, lets get started. As a Squidoo Lensmaster you can join the Group on LinkedIn

How to create a free Lens

TIP. make certain you add BT Tradespace and BT in your keywords, this way you can be found easy on Squidoo.

Here is a simple, "Step by Step" guide on how to create your very own, free Squidoo Lens and make some money. Just follow the instructions and you can have your creation live and indexed by Google within a few days.

Update now stabilised, time to get started

I started using BT Tradespace around September last year, and in November a major update was made by BT. I am not at all happy with the results. Lots of promises and hard work by some of the staff, but it does not work like it should.

An example, Tradespace is international, and there are many users from all over the world. But now, if you are located in, i.e. Miami, Paris, Berlin, all are listed under the UK, because that is the only choice available. So at the moment I would not recommend anybody from joining.

I put a lot of effort into creating original articles, support links and even customer support Communities, and they lost the lot. No copies. What a mess.

Now I have started again and have a number of accounts

BT Tradespace has completed the upgrade

This is only for the UK

8th November, BT started the transfer from the old system to the much improved new version. At the moment of up-dating this module, access was not permitted, as all websites were being migrated over. Keeping check back for more info.

On 20th November the migration took place, but there are problems. As an existing member of BT Tradespace, none of my work has been transfered as of 23rd December, looks like it will be the New Year. My suggestion is you wait until all the problems have been resolved.

First thing to do is, join BT Tradespace

A true Business Community

To join BT Tradespace, here is the address. This module will be updated with additional information. I have just started and somethings seem very easy. It is a great tool to add to all the other methods you use to promote your business, it does take a little time set things up, but worth it, and is free. Upgrades are available.

There are about 200,000 business names already listed so you still have time to get yours. BT Tradespace is very international. The all new update will be a lot more search engine friendly and will also let you use your Google Analytics account. Post any messages in the "Lounge" if you wish to make some comments.

Here you can add your BT Tradespace website to Squidoo

You can add your BT Tradespace address here, but only links to BT Tradespace will be permitted, and you should also have a Squidoo Lens. All will be checked before publishing. Spammers will always be deleted. A great way to increase your quality links to your website. Google indexes Squidoo and Tradespace frequently, so you get the benefits sooner.

When getting start with the existing version, I would start by creating different groups to hold your products and services, you can then load them into correct group. Using the "Feature" product is also a good idea. More soon

    BT launches it's all new BT Tradespace website soon. If you have never made a Tradespace (Free) website, now is the time to grab that name you always wanted. You will also be able to use Google Analytics soon.
