Trade Backlinks on Social Bookmarking Sites for Free
This lens is about trading backlinks on social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us, Digg, StubmleUpon, ClipMarks and Technorati. The concept is, I help you and you help me.
In order to participate, you should have a social bookmarking account already. You can submit your username to the appropriate list below. Feel free to add any users from these lists to your network of friends; however, it is not necessary in order to trade backlinks.
Trading backlinks on the social bookmarking sites is easy; however, each social bookmark site is slightly different. You will find instructions on how to trade on each network below.
There are no obligations. If something seems spammy, or like something you wouldn't want your friends on these social networks to see coming from you - don't bookmark it! And if you have questions or comments, contact me!

How to Trade Backlinks on del.icio.us
1. Bookmark the link you want backlinks on just as you normally would with del.icio.us.
2. Tag your bookmark @backlinktrade.
3. Find someone to trade backlinks with by searching the RSS feed for the @backlinktrade tag.
4. Make sure to check the links you've marked with @backlinktrade so that you can see which users have helped you out.
5. When you don't want to participate anymore, because you don't have time, or you already have enough backlinks (can you really ever have too many?) simply remove the @backlinktrade tag.
6.Check this lens periodically. Vote users up that you've successfully traded with and vote users down that haven't kept their end of the bargain. This will help other people know who they should try trading links with!

How to Trade Backlinks on Digg
Digg allows users to private message each other. The easiest way to trade backlinks on Digg is to private message a user from the list above and ask them to link to a specific page for you. Then they can message you back when it's been done, and send you a link that they'd like Dugg.
You can even add each other as friends, and help each other out more often on the network.

How to Trade Backlinks on StumbleUpon
StumbleUpon allows you to private message other users. The easiest way to trade backlinks on StumbleUpon is to private message a user from the list below and ask them to link to a specific page for you. Then they can message you back when it's been done, and send you a link that they'd like Stumbled.
The only thing is that you must change your profile settings to allow everyone to contact you on StumbleUpon otherwise we won't be able to connect to trade links.
If you do not want to turn on the contact me message in your preferences, there is still another way to trade links. You can also tag your link with the @backlinktrade tag.

If you Stumble one of these for another user, just make sure to tag it with their @username. Then make sure to watch the page for your username to see who you owe backlinks - but make sure to change my username to your username.

I have developed the AutoMarker software that makes it very easy to search for bookmarks you would like to vote for and the community will give you one vote back for every vote you cast. It is like a 3way voting system that will give you unlimited votes to your social bookmarking submissions (you can check it out at www.automarker.net). Imagine what that can do to your traffic!
